I dug bottles for over 20 yrs. The holes were 9 feet deep. We used a 4 prong patatoe rake. We would cut off some of the handle so they Would not be to long. That would work perfect in that dump you have. Much less chance a braking Things.

Nice dig 👌the wife and I used to scour this old reserve that held life in 1870s onwards .we always parked in the same spot but we actually were on bottles under the car 😂🎉
You can have thatstone whare crock put back together if you can find a lot of the peices my dad n sister used to have a business of repairing them in the late 70s to the early 90s they were well known up n down the east cost of the US n as far west as Ohio for their work, they also did work for Mccormick my sister summed it up you know your good when your are better 5han the Smithsonian Institute
Hey there Charlie… I’m wondering if those two wick lamp pieces were from a kerosene stove? When I was really young, mid nineteen fifties, mom had a three burner kerosene stove that she used to heat water for laundry tub… it had three glass jugs, one for each burner… just a thought?!😎🤙

Careful if you get bit by the glass bug you may hang up the detector....trenching glass pits is extremely addicting :)
You are right. We went out yesterday and we didn't even bring our metal detectors with us.
Been digging old dumps for bottles and relics here in Maine since the late 60’s. Get some good gloves and dig deeper.

you should bring a potato fork/hand claw and totally dig that dump....curious to what else turns up
Yea, you need gloves and a regular trowel to safely excavate this dumb site. Edit....dump site. Computers are not as smart as they think they are.
