    I stopped going to the mall 2 years ago. I've only been to Target twice this year. I did visit TJ Maxx once. Try to stay away from the stores all together. I only tried to do shopping for groceries every two weeks. Shop at the Goodwill where everything is second hand and cheap.

    I buy bath and body works foaming soap when it's on special for $2.95. Then when it's gone, I reuse the container and fill 1/4 with clear soap, 3/4 with water and shake. It's great for kids shampoo and body wash too because they tend to use way too much.

    Since retirement my wife and I have nixed over $15k/year from our budget without losing a dime of value. Most of the overspending came from our daily behaviors... $5 here and $100 there sure adds up. Thanks for the tips, Kelly!

    So many tips!🎉 My tip is to combine some of these tips. Example: Goal ~ Restaurant ugh time out, woohoo! Combine kids eat free + Fetch points for a gift card to that restaurant. Additionally you sign up for the Restaurant app, loyalty program and Birthday free meal. 4 people, the kids eat free (try to eat meals with leftovers), pay with Fetch points, use your loyalty card. Birthday dinner for a family of 4 usually gets you 4 different free meals. Try to get enough leftovers for a leftovers family dinner. Another night without cooking and dishes. If you only have to 2 over containers, cut off top and serve on top and bottom. Ask for to go cutlery. The goal is to maximize your dollar.

    We also don't do gifts we don't do Christmas gifts we don't do Valentine's Day gifts we don't do birthday gifts and we don't do anniversary gifts. Everybody has enough of everything already. We may go out to eat to celebrate that's it. Anybody over the age of 18 does not get a Christmas gift you are an adult that is over.

    Seriously great tips, especially regarding life insurance- I never hear anyone talk about it when it comes to finances, but it's SO important if you have anyone relying on you financially or anyone you would burden with funeral costs. Also buying gifts throughout the year is my #1 holiday hack haha, and I had no idea that foaming hand soap is more efficient! Thanks for sharing ♥️

    My husband and I have agreed to donate our bodies to science for free after death that way there is no cost. We decided we didn't want to burden each other with that.

    • @Lee-fb4oj
      @Lee-fb4oj Рік тому

      There is still considerable cost since a funeral director will be the middleman. ($1,500-2,500) Also consider the cost of a religious service if desired. But compared to $10,000+ , yes it is less expensive.

    • @reginafisher9919
      @reginafisher9919 Рік тому

      @@Lee-fb4oj I know there is a middleman for cremation but I didn't think when you donated your body to science there was, cremation only cost about $1,500 in Kentucky at the most.I will check on the donation of the body.

    • @Lee-fb4oj
      @Lee-fb4oj Рік тому +1

      @@reginafisher9919 I'm sorry but you wrote "no cost" and I didn't want readers to be misled. There is cost of transportation. Depending on day and time there could be cost of storage. Before a University accepts the donation, they ask who will accept the cremated remains. So that involves the cost of shipping (under$100). The funeral home is the greater expense. Unless we leave our loved ones a life insurance policy, we will always leave them with a financial loss as well.

    • @reginafisher9919
      @reginafisher9919 Рік тому +1
