The big DAWG, Adrian, checking in every Saturday at 10 AM to get his weekly lesson on how not to run a UA-cam channel
I clicked for Magnum PI (thumbnail), I stayed for the review!
Appreciate that a ton!!! Just got the hat and mustache in so I've got to use it in as many videos as possible. Shouldn't you two be running a race this weekend?
Funny you should mention, we just got back from a 12 miler in the woods 😂😂
Got Fringe's Garage Series Squat stand for my low ceiling limted space basement set up. Uprights go between joists, as does my head when I do pull ups and dips lol. Got dip attachement and safeties. Facing it I have a real low-tier Body Champ stand I use for suspension rows and push ups.
Having just two posts allows for more space for things like farmer walks, power cleans when you remove safeties.
Way to make a tight space and low ceiling work!!!
Thanks for acknowledging a garage is for cars
If you have a garage gym but don't park your cars in it at least 1 night a week, then it isn't a garage gym. It's a GYM.
@@NoFate247coming to you live from Narnia to acknowledge that my garage is a gym because cars come with roofs but my power rack and adjustable bench didn’t so it’s a easy decision as to which one gets to stay in the garage 😂
@GarageGymLifeMedia the biggest questions of our time 😂
@@NoFate247 indeed!
I just sold my squat rack and bought a power rack. They both fit in the rear of my garage so I can still get the wife's minivan in. The main issue, which I didn't really consider, is the weight of the power rack vs. the squat rack, about 3x the weight. Trying to move it to the middle of my garage is a total pain but bitching about it being heavy seems rather stupid when I'm then going to lift weights on it. Certainly something I didn't really consider but it's a done deal now. Great video. Now to go buy some jammer arms...oh wait. :)
Lol no jammer arms!!!
@@NoFate247 after your video, I'll pass on jammer arms. I'd have to buy the Hulkfit as well as my rack is the same 2.4"x 2.4" size. Thanks for saving me $180.
As a basement dweller I use a squat stand because we use it for more than just my sweet gym. Ok it’s an ok gym, it’s not winning any awards. For space this thing is perfect for limited footprint.
If it's yours and you crush workouts in it, then it's an award winning gym in my book!! Which rack do you have?
Nice review of Vulcan Squat Stand, thanks. 8 gauge steel, surprised me. 2.5" x 2.5" uprights seems odd. I bought a Rogue Monster Lite SML-2 squat stand years ago. Hope to buy the Half-Rack attachment here soon. Thanks again Jonathon for your Saturday videos.
My saturday morning CREW! How you doing this weekend? Yeah I love the 8 gage steel even though its probably overkill, but wish they went 3x3. They might in V3. Let me know how you like the half rack attachment once you grab it!
All I heard was Hell freezes over and somehow homegymmers manage to get burned if they purchase this squat stand. 😂
Did you catch the Easter egg?
I don’t think so- was it before or after all the shots were fired 🤯🔫

@@NoFate247 😂🤣😂🤣 must be hidden in the shade 😂🤣😂🤣
2.5 x 2.5 with 1” holes one way and 5/8” holes the other, yikes.
This looks like a really solid squat stand option for someone who lifts heavy in a small space!
There is no one size fits all for home gym users. Space is soo important to manage and many of us are in some tiny corner of a garage, basement or even bedroom.
@@NoFate247 Yup, and safety for me is #1, the rest can be worked through.
Did you say 8 gauge? 11 gauge is already overkill, this is beyond that! 😅
Def. WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY beyond....
I like squat stands and have one as a supplement to my half-rack. I think squat stands are undervalued, but this is still a hard sell. It's hard to justify this over a half-rack, however 8-gauge steel is a game changer. If the base and the support plates are also 8-gauge, then that is awesome. ...And you are right 3x3 would be way better.
squat stands are undervalued but I do agree a half rack or even some full racks are going to take up similar amounts of space and cost close to the same. All depends on your space and use case.
Fun review Jonathan! I respect Vulcan's commitment to making a heavy duty stand. That thing is almost as heavy as my 3x3 4 post! rack!
Putting it together by myself was a workout and a half!!! THanks for checking in. What rack you go with?
@@NoFate247The Titan x3. It was on sale for $559. Not used, not from the scratched and dented section. Brand new, out of the box for $559. I realized it's probably the cheapest I'm ever going to see a 3x3, so I snapped it up real quick.
I don't know anyone who could pass up that price!!!
Interesting timing on this video. I was actually recently checking if Rep has something similar to this because I am currently limited by ceiling height and I don’t want to have to buy 4 80” post and then another 4 of the 93” when I have the ceiling height in the near future.
This not being 3x3 is a bummer because it limits attachments.
Yeah I wish it was 3x3 but I guess you can't have it all. How tall is your ceiling?
@@NoFate247 the unfinished half of my basement is like 78”. The finished half is about 82” but has has the exposed ceiling where I could fit some post up to about 90”
I'm not going to lie, I do the sign of the cross if I'm going for a heavy record squat on my amazon rack LOL Good review!
:) Might be time to upgrade but I've been there. Used an $75 amazon squat stand to bench with for nearly 3 years
8 gauge! Huuuuuge!
HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Def. Heavy to assemble. Waht you up to this weekend?
Still in prep for drug tested USPA nationals in June. I’m 12 pounds heavy!
Squat stands are like a twin bed mattress. They’re cheap, small, and slept on!
Oh hot dang that's a good one!!!! So true
This video is spot on. A really strong squat stand by a real home gym lifter.
Yeah I use the stuff I review! But this thing is BEYOND strong. I'd have been impressed with 11 gage steel but 8 gauge is so much thicker!
I use my REP Oxylus as a squat stand. The 3" cross brace connects on either side making it super sturdy. I have the jammer arms too and have put 180lbs on each to do incline pressing, but it starts to move a little, but that's with no weight holding it down in back.
That oxylus has so much potential. You glad you picked it up?
I am glad, especially because I bought when it was $675. It goes for $845 atm.
Home gym 🎉
Are you team basement or garage?
this seems nice bro!
Super durable for a small space. Wouldn't budge on my drop tests
That’s a nice squat stand. As you said, great option for limited space.
Yeah we don't all have farm houses to fill with home gym gear. What you up to this weekend?
@@NoFate247 wish I had a juji Mufu gym barn
Looks like one badass piece of equipment!
Beyond heavy duty and because you can put the uprights where you want and the pull up bar, you've got some nice options to fit your space to perfection
Checking in for the Hawaiian 🌺 shirt and Shades
HECK YEAH!!! Appreciate you being here. How are you combating the space issue in your garage?
I own Vulcan Strength equipment and its great stuff. Very good equipment that I feel completely safe using.
I reviewed a few of their items and honeslty it's over built which is always nice. What stuff of theirs do you have?
Flat bench, incline bench, a 28mm weightlifting bar. Crash pads.
Checking in!
Thanks for taking time away from those hack squats you monster!!!!
