Raising capital is an essential part of developing and scaling your new venture. A variety of factors affect the need for capital and depend on its development phase, the industry, the business model and product and services, among others. What is certain is a startup’s need to attract capabilities and resources, of which capital is essential.
The sources from whom you raise capital can vary from small angel investments and venture capital to public listing, grants and soft money. However, particularly for new ventures is the active role an investor has beyond financial resources to bring other resources to the company - this is of critical importance and value when it comes to accelerating the company’s growth.
