The third season finds Ash, having gone from murderous urban legend to humanity-saving hometown hero, discovering that he has a long lost daughter who’s been entrusted in his care. When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. Blood is thicker than water in the battle of good vs Evil Dead.

Not only they didn't advertised it, but they didn't show the season 3 trailer in Comic Con San Diego just like the first 2 seasons, then it would've made definitely a lot more views than the first 2 seasons cause season 3 was the best one yet

For some reason i think this show is better than Stranger things.. I mean this is so underrated and definitely deserves more!
I'm a hardcore stranger things fan so I might be biased but I don't really see them as comparable. Both amazing but ash vs evil dead is a fun horror fest that doesn't take itself seriously where as stranger things is trying to recapture an era and be an original story. Both brilliant shows for binging though

ya im the same as you, stranger things season 3 wasn't to great. Loved ash vs evil dead be nice if it had 1 more season. Stranger things season 3 just took a turn for the worst. Like the threat wasn't there anymore like season 2. Season 3 was just 1 big monster at the mall, didn't seem to good and alot of stupid fan service in season 3. I hope season 4 of stranger things is better.
Sad that this bloody masterpiece of a show got canceled, but I am VERY pumped for the upcoming video game!

Seems like they somewhat used the first idea for the S2 finale...Albeit less silly since Kelly is not Ash's daughter after all.

I stay skeptical my friend. Of course, having enough people watching it (and , let's be honest... Paying for it) would be the best way to keep it on TV. But if they deem it not worth the cost/time/hassle, they'll cancel it regardless...
It already smells pretty bad that a S4 has not been confirmed nor even talked yet. Both S2 and S3 were announced before the previous one even aired.
Not to mention they waited quite a while to promote it, even Bruce was being fairly secretive. And the fact they delayed it for four months is also a bit worrysome...Even if they did the smart choice considering they could have faced competition with Stranger Things.
We'll wait and see. But with American Gods very close to being canceled, I'm afraid AvED might be next... I surely hope it won't.

Fans mean nothing if they aren't profitable. Don't forget that while AvED are probably among the most loyals, they are still kind of a niche.
Not to mention that every episode came under 1 million viewers on TV, which even for StarZ is pretty low.
Add to that the fact that many of them chose to stream/download it and honestly, it's a serie that is doing...okay. Nothing more than okay.
Most people watching it are watching pirate copies. Starz makes no money when people pirate it.

Wait, as far as I know, the fans loved this show (even if season 2 was problematic). It got cancelled because the wider audience didn't like it. Plus; I think the end of season 3 is a perfect point to end Ash's story.

I also believe that at the end of season 2 because ash won the whole timeline was changed so that ash never read from the book and thus Fisher and brujo never died in season 1 since the cabin was destroyed thus preventing the events of evil dead from happening
