These videos are so fascinating to watch. As a londoner born and bread in Notting Hill it's wonderful these places still exist which is good too see.🇬🇧
As a non britisher, I concure! Lol. Seriously, these "old world" services and products are still light years ahead of mass processed and produced things.
Once again Tom, a brilliant video, but very short. I even sprayed some Arlington Cologne on before starting to watch it. What is your cologne of choice from D R Harris?
I love this series, please keep them up!
The best!!
I love your content.Would you consider reviewing a luxury coffee shop or hotel?Greetings from Dublin
You could call this series "Walking up and down St. James's". Next up... Berry Brothers and Rudd, Beretta and William Evans. Edward Green plus Turnbull and Asser please. Really enjoying the series!
Here in the States we have access to some of these products on Amazon, as well as a few online retailers. I have to say D.R. Harris has been my favorite shaving soap for many years now and I was excited to see you featuring it here in The Rake's channel! Well done!
Gentleman, thank you for this beautiful content. I’m having great time while watching.
I will drop by when I get to London. Thank you .
Due to silly US customs regulations, I can no longer purchase DS Harris sandalwood cologne as the product contains alcohol. Just imagine coming up with this restriction.
That complaint filed, I do very much enjoy this series.
I've been using DR Harris products for years and love to drop by the shop when I'm visiting London. My personal favorite is the Coconut Oil Shampoo and Cream Rinse with a nod to the Bay Rum Hair Tonic, but really all of their products are great
Lovely video, Tom. I love your relaxed presenting style. And D.R. Harris products are amazing.
That scene from Hugh has to be the most wonderful slice of acting ever.
Lovely, lovely establishment. I did do a spot of dancing out tonight, fueled by a drink or two,
hopefully not enough to need Jeeves in the morning, but he could wake me up any day,
I'd be quite delighted.
Some truly excellent products here, their shampoos, and their sandalwood fragrance are to die for.
First discovered the D.R. Harris brand in 2019 on a trip back home to London where I had the Afternoon Tea Experience at Fortnum & Mason!! Bought a bottle of D.R. Harris "Arlington" cologne at Fortnum & Mason that was recommended by the sales associate and I've loved the brand every since!! Thanks for this vid!! You've earned a new subscriber!!
Cool, cool, cool! Neatest shop you have shown to date!
Loving these episodes!
Cant wait for the one at Davidoff!
Keep up the good work
The Armoury, Aspinal, Berry Bros. & Rudd, Budd, Davidoff, E. B. Meyrowitz, Ede & Ravenscroft, Floris, Globe-Trotter, New & Lingwood, Turnbull & Asser ... The list is endless!
Good video and history. I'm American but my wife's family are from Camberley, northwest Surrey. Exploring places in this series is a lot of fun, and cheaper than flying.
Wonderful video, they are still used today, ask any herbalist.
Tom, are you a fan of the Black Adder series? That movie clip you referenced brought it to mind...
They're driving me insane for asking amal clooney to buy my sons engagement ring because I was working
Back when your local cocaine dealer wore a three-piece suit.
I do hope Floris is on your list of locations (unless I missed it).
I am an Anglophile
And I wonder if one day I could hire someone like Jeeves
Such a privilege to be able to walk in that store and buy products that can be traced back in a time that distant that most people can't trace their ancestry, me included.
Wonderful as usual - thank you from the Antipodes.
*love & respect for all your videos/series*
Absolutely love DR Harris! They make some of the best shave soaps.
wish you'd made videos with pocket and wrist watches :)
She asked how many do you want I told her buy whatever and she did
My favourite London shop of all!
I the videos, could you do one on your favorite fountain pen please!!
MOST EXCELLENT..I'VE REFERRED IT TO MY SON
Informative series
I love St James’s, Jermyn St, Savile Row - but would you be able to show us any hidden gems outside of that little radius?
Patience patience.
Legitimately it's pathetic and creepy
Must pop in some time for a bottle of laudanum.
No asked for this nonsense and yet it comes freely
Good to know.
Love DR Harris , however, I would love it if you did a podcast on Taylor’s of Old Bond Street. Nevertheless, I use both and truly enjoy the products.
If you want the truth just ask
Love this series. So much stylish history.
Excellent quality of service and superb products that are ageless and classic and very much needed in 2024 the 21st Century.
Arrogant snobbery.
I used to buy a ton of stuff in there although personally I find the scent can be quite cloying on a lot of their products. Lovely shop though.
Your series is amazing
Very simple
What a cool looking shop. Going to London 2025 no matter what!
You guys really need to stop loaning people money who are evil
I love their Lavender Water. Nothing like it!
And a Pipe Smoking requisites episode would be wonderful as well.
I'm a republican. Change my mind.
first you'd have to have a mind.
@@sitbone3 Insults are not arguments. But thank you.
I’m American with English ancestry and these videos activate something in my blood memory. Keep up the great work 🤝🏼
there’s always one 🙄
Boris Johnson's smarter brother?
Easy now
smarter? more presentable or intelligent?
