Even then Punk vs. Taker is still main event material
Punk wasn’t cut to end Taker’s streak (I think nobody was) and Cena was busy getting his rematch with the rock (yes that had to happen. You can’t finish rocky 4 with drago winning) Austin was the man to put punk over. They had to get him no matter what, even if he could only give a 5 min match.

This video makes WWE come off as such an unserious company (which they are) lol, like they have doctors saying "what do you want me to do?" when someone has a concussion, like they didn't hire you as a professional to not know what to do in this situation or did they just hire somebody learning how to be a doctor lol, and then to put him through the announce table when he has a concussion which could have made it worse is even funnier, like what is this company thinking
I didn’t realize that punk was concussed at the rumble, and that WWE’s response to get him out of it was to have Kane choke slam him through the announce table. That’s a very dangerous guy for a dude that’s already concussed because you risk the guy hitting the back of his head on the table or the floor in a whiplash. I can see why he didn’t want to work there anymore. That rumble is of special significance in my eyes, in a negative way, because of what happened with punk. Punk put in 49 minutes, that’s a very impressive royal rumble stat, just shy of Benoit and mysterio level. Honestly I was hoping he would win that rumble. And dang he seemingly came close while watching the match before being unceremoniously dumped out by Kane.

Fun fact: When you do the ads in the beginning of the video, I actually watch them. When people put them in the middle of it, I usually just skip through to get to the rest of the video, but in the beginning, it's not too intrusive. I like it this way.
At a live event in the UK in November 2011 half of the audience stood up when Cena made his entrance. The entire audience stood up when Punk made his entrance. It speaks volumes as to the popularity of Punk during that era (2011-2013).
Im a big CM Punk fan from prime days until now he went through hell and back with the WWE but im glad he came AEW and back im proud of him hes great on the mic and in ring he truly is the best in the world since day one🤙🔥💯
Punk was a bright spot in a dark time for wrestling fans. I quit watching WWE when his title reign ended and have never come back as a consistent viewer.
Most people would if they got treated like that at their jobs would, people just treat this differently cause he’s making more money. But it’s the same principle 🤷🏻♂️
Dont forget Rock has a team of writers who write all his stuff 4 him. When the rock left wwe full time he took Brian gewirtz with him to write his IRL promos 😅
I feel like 1 thing that opened up about Punk not main eventing is that it opened up managements eyes over the lack of WM Main eventers on their roster. Since then Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, Aj Styles, Drew Mcintyre, Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, The Usos, and Cody Rhodes have headlined the show. Could this be more? Yes but it’s an improvement over how it used to be.
wwe became boring after that (Not saying this because Cm Punk left) something just went wrong dont get the same nostalgic vibe as it used to give before
Roman ain't got shit on Punks Championship rain. They never pushed him, he wasn't the face of the company, he wasn't the champ they wanted. But he took the ball a ran as fast and as far as he could with it. Still such bs he had to drop the belt to the rock. They should have made the Mania Maine Event a triple threat
Say what you want about Punk, but he saw his value at one spot and stuck to it. WWE (Well, Vince and Triple H) saw his value at one level and they stuck to that, you can call it the glass ceiling. Punk had an ego, and the other side had an ego. They couldn't come together and it was probably the best for both sides for him to leave.
Man punk should have been main event wrestlemaina 29 with cena vs rock for the wwe championship if would have saved rock from injury and cena and punk could do most of the wrestling while rock did most of the big spots.
for me sasha(Mercedes) and punk are quite similar.being most over and having great matches but alwaya having short end of the stick.they choose themselves and i will always respect and support their decision.
Playing devils advocate. Although thr crowds loved punk over a cena . The overall audience including the TV ratings did not reflect that. That's y he wasn't THE GUY. You can argue it's bc vince didn't like him and fair enough but punk didn't make it easy to either. If It was that punk was actually setting the world on fire and he was the biggest babyface and the highest ratings draw since austin then I would agree ,vince screwed up. But cena vs punk drew less viewers than r truth vs cena and miz vs cena . They gave him chances interms of okay let's give him this reign and see what happens the ratings was still in cenas favor. I can agree that some ppvs he should have mainevented but I can also see it from the company's POV which Is well john is where the money is rn. Also John's a team player where as punk wasn't in that way. What I mean is that cena didn't have that ego despite being at the top for so long , he did the silly stuff without complaining whilst punk would do them but would fight them at every turn.
Now that punk is back in wwe. I know it’s a new era but how about some kind of throw back to Austin and Vince with punk and triple h and say you know you should of put me over 16 years ago cause it will probably be like 2027 when they can get to it and I don’t think triple h can ever get physically physical again they can get triple h to line up opponents definitely give punk another good world title run maybe longer than 434 and have him get to 500 and then he loses it and eventually while this is all going on I don’t know if triple h has a son or not but hopefully he gets into wrestling and have him beat punk and have a wicked fued with him and punk would have to lose the first match to him maybe yea at mania to get this kid over and then he will get the next and then he will get the rubber match and win the fued and hopefully when there is a couple years left in his career and he in the final year of his career he has another one year title run and loses at mania 48 and after winning it 47 in the main event he will lose it in the main event of 48 main event and another great think I’ve found in this when he main events his first mania for 47. The mania in 2011 the year Punk declared he wants to pushed and be treated as a top star the mania this year was 27 and 20 years later in 2031 cm punk wins the title in the main event of Wrestlemania and then he loses at 48 and goes into the hall of fame for 49 or maybe then you just save him for 50 and hopefully if Chicago has a roof on there stadium you have mania 50 and hall of fame in Chicago. But then if there planning mania 50 in Chicago like in 2030 when it’s 46 you might want that to be punk last match. Also I want punk Vs rock too. Now however this will probably not happen to be honest with punks body we will be lucky to get even 3 years out of him but I do think we will get 6 years out of him instead 8 or 9 or whatever it was in my dreams lol and it is a new era and that was how they would of had a storyline 2006 like years from 2002-2006 and 7 and 8 and 9 but 10 that would change and I just don’t know if this will happen cause it is a new era but I would love era. Thank you to whoever reads all of this let me know like and comment.

One of the biggest L’s is not getting a follow up big match between Lesnar and Punk. That should’ve been built all the way until Mania.
Paul heyman said Brock wanted to do a rematch at wm 30 but Vince had other plans. Basically it would’ve been Brock vs Roman at wm 38 and the whole storyline leading up to it.
Who's here after he returned to WWE?
It's amazing how CM Punk, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns have a long world title reign and Paul Heyman managed them all.
Remember sideburn cmpunk 😅
Bro lasted 2 months 😂
Hey pav im a huge fan been watching since u made the tna wrestling video. Because of you i have really started watching wwe again. Keep up the good work pav!
I think a lot of ppl are also forgetting the breaking point was WWE’s “world class” medical staff misdiagnosing his staff infection which he later found out would’ve killed him in mere months
Love the channel Pav. Found the channel a couple weeks ago and I’ve watched to many of your videos. Just listening while I’m at work, watching while I game your voice is great and you’re very well spoken in wrestling you know what you’re talking about. Keep it up 💯💯
Watching the video currently but you mentioned AEW collision and I was there and the pop for punk was INSANE. Chicago was definitely riding with punk
Also yeah John Vs Laurenitus in the main event is CRAZY
If you love this guy you’ll love WrestlingsPremier too, these 2 channels basically have the exact same fanbase😂
@@TivaWap1738I found him around the same time! Both great channels!
Fun fact: When you do the ads in the beginning of the video, I actually watch them. When people put them in the middle of it, I usually just skip through to get to the rest of the video, but in the beginning, it's not too intrusive. I like it this way.
2023 wwe cm punk!
At a live event in the UK in November 2011 half of the audience stood up when Cena made his entrance. The entire audience stood up when Punk made his entrance. It speaks volumes as to the popularity of Punk during that era (2011-2013).
Who's here after he came back
To wwe
👇
Now this man is back in the wwe . Wow this such a full circle moment
Collision was fire the main event was so lit. Punk is the greatest.
Im a big CM Punk fan from prime days until now he went through hell and back with the WWE but im glad he came AEW and back im proud of him hes great on the mic and in ring he truly is the best in the world since day one🤙🔥💯
You won't believe what just happened
he just made a new vid "the night cm punk returned to wwe" something haha
Man I would've loved to see Punk vs AJ in their prime just a few years later
love him or hate him, he was the beginning of the WWE changing into the era of indie guys being on top of the wwe
2months of his return and again he's gone
Wait! WWE Champions defend their title at every pay per view? And they actually show up on Raw and Smackdown? Who would have thought?
Summerslam 2013 was ppv of the year tbh
Punk was a bright spot in a dark time for wrestling fans. I quit watching WWE when his title reign ended and have never come back as a consistent viewer.
yea no he didnt quite get the happy ending
Please pav play 2k15 on ps3 it so good match types are good no glitches
This video about to have the craziest sequel ever
Hell froze over
Not going to lie if I was in punk position I would leave too 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
Most people would if they got treated like that at their jobs would, people just treat this differently cause he’s making more money. But it’s the same principle 🤷🏻♂️
can't wait for
The Night CM Punk rejoined The WWE
Video
25 November 2023 - The Day Cm punk returned to wwe 🔥
Help 😐 why you knew that
The Rock and CM Punk rivalry is crazy overlooked. Those promos were epic
A punk-rock-cena triple threat at WM29 would've been amazing imho
"Understand, when you step in the ring, your arms are just too short to box with God"
Dont forget Rock has a team of writers who write all his stuff 4 him. When the rock left wwe full time he took Brian gewirtz with him to write his IRL promos 😅
@@Card_lolwhat it should've been now thinking about it
Reason why i watched wwe last in 2013, reason why im watching WWE now because of one Man CM Punk❤
Who is here after his returning to WWE after 9 years like me😅?
One of the most favourite that time🥲watching punk in childhood was something🥺thank u punk❤️
I was one of those seniors that got back to WWE for cm punk
I feel like 1 thing that opened up about Punk not main eventing is that it opened up managements eyes over the lack of WM Main eventers on their roster. Since then Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, Aj Styles, Drew Mcintyre, Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, The Usos, and Cody Rhodes have headlined the show. Could this be more? Yes but it’s an improvement over how it used to be.
wwe became boring after that (Not saying this because Cm Punk left) something just went wrong dont get the same nostalgic vibe as it used to give before
Because they focused too much on part time guys
Roman ain't got shit on Punks Championship rain. They never pushed him, he wasn't the face of the company, he wasn't the champ they wanted. But he took the ball a ran as fast and as far as he could with it. Still such bs he had to drop the belt to the rock. They should have made the Mania Maine Event a triple threat
Who’s watching after the cm punk wwe return???
Hey pav what are your thoughts on john cena vs undertaker in wrestlemania and what bullshit cena had gone through by losing to literally everyone
this did not age well . punk is back! hell yeah!
I'm shocked that Pav didn't say at end the video, "Tell me when I'm telling lies."
So glad the voice of the voiceless is back
Cm punk 10/10 wrestler 💪🔥
The fact, some of the people watching this weren’t alive when this all happened is insane to think about
Terrible time, vince is a clown for letting him go.
Love the guy or hate him, wrestling is way more entertaining and fun to watch with CM Punk involved.
This is what months do in wrestling
Man punk should have been main event wrestlemaina 29 with cena vs rock for the wwe championship if would have saved rock from injury and cena and punk could do most of the wrestling while rock did most of the big spots.
WWE, Hunter, Vince, and backstage politics screwed over and mishandled CM Punk. Glad hes back on TV on AEW
for me sasha(Mercedes) and punk are quite similar.being most over and having great matches but alwaya having short end of the stick.they choose themselves and i will always respect and support their decision.
A masterpiece video by a legend
Please do a wrestlemania 35 rebooking video
Someone actually created a solid Roman Reigns on AEW: Fight Forever + the Stadium Stampede leaks are gonna make this game like the good ol' days. Can't wait for your review.
no night of champions vid 😢
Punk really is the cult hero of all cult heroes.
Broke barriers guys like Seth Ambrose and Daniel Bryan don’t get pushed at the top level if not for punk
He's the cult of personality

@@pleaseshutup7053 exactly, you know wwe.
I was hurt when I found out he left huge punk fan back in the day (still is lol) reading all the backstage stuff actually got me into dirt sheets gave me whole new perception on wrestling and I regret ever since lol
Need a remake, The Night CM Punk Returned To The WWE
he did make a remake already - ua-cam.com/video/zw0b08h2Cc4/v-deo.html
Super cena dying summerslam 2014 was sad. But the night of Monday night raw reading that Fav favorite wrestler Cm punk left wwe shattered my 11 year old heart. I knew then 2014 would be a Dark year for wwe
2:42 it was 100% the wrong move, anybody that says otherwise is part of WWE's creative team, or a complete moron. or both.
Hellofresh is anything but fresh.
One of those people who’s value we realised once he was gone.
Most new channels I give em 1 minute to wow me, you started with a damn hello fresh ad. No thank u
