Jim Steinman's great and this is a great track, but Vince made the right call in giving Hogan "Real American". They used Born in the USA and Eye of the Tiger as entrance music until December 1985 (Including Wrestlemania), a month after this came out. It was a show that was aired live on the MSG network. Hogan vs. Muraco, US Express vs. jobbers. Both used their new themes. By March Windham was gone and Hogan was using Real American. Rock N Wrestling was using the Hogan theme since September of 1985, two months before The Wrestling Album was released. So technically it was the cartoon theme BEFORE it was on this album or Hogan's entrance theme.

Jim Steinman always did stuff like this. Holding out for a Hero is very similar to Stark Raving Love. Most of his music is really just retreads of the old musicals he wrote.
