    Spinosaurus was never meant to be a hybrid, it was pretty accurate for its time, after Jurassic World all those fan theories about it being a hybrid came out due to it beating a t-rex, so universal decided to inocorporate that idea towards it being amalgam tested (which made it super aggresive as it was pretty cruel testing on it ever since it was created)

      I think of it as like a rough draft. Remeber each dinosaur had several versions until they came up with the "right" one. With so little spino examples and stuff they probably did their best and didn't get to clean it up to its final version. That could also explain why it wasn't on the list. Nobody is gonna list an unfinished and imperfect asset.

    Damn, brilliant video explaining this Swrve well done. I have to admit it is abit annoying that Dominion just introduced the pure clones without any explination. It feels like the kind of thing that they would have made a big deal out of but they didn't. One of the big things about Crichton's method of ressurection is that it is impossible to get a pure DNA strand from the DNA sample which is true in reality and is what made that theory so compelling.
    Second, and this goes for both Dominion and the prolouge, I wish that they would have just made the pure clones Palaeo accurate. I get that you make the point of Jurssic being a different universe to ours Swrve, but part of the magic of Jurassic park is that it feels real. Thats why people love Dinosaurs in general because they know that they were real.
    The further you seperate the Jurassic Universe from our Universe, it kind of ruins the whole aesthetic of the franchise (the Giga's design in particular is awful, let alone it living in the late Cretacous era in north America).
    Anyway thats just my thoughts, you will make it to 250,000 Swrve it's inevitable.

    @AkeshUIU 14 днів тому

    @Swrve Thank you for explaining the genetic database. I still have a few doubts about this though.
    1. The amalgamations, GMOs and GMCs are not the same as the animals that bear their names from the fossil record. For example, Rexy has no downy feathers on her neck but the JWD prologue T. rex has them and the Atrociraptors look and sound like Velociraptors from JP3 as you said in this video. Therefore, they are technically not found in the fossil record and they are more like animals that bear the same names as their fossil record counterparts but still have minor differences and are NOT exactly the same animals that are observed in the fossil record, unlike the pure clones which are exactly identical to their fossil record counterparts in all aspects.
    2. How exactly can we differentiate between an amalgamation and a hybrid and is there a point where an amalgamation can become a hybrid? For example, let's say you create a new dinosaur from the DNA of T rex, Daspletosaurus and Albertosaurus together. Would this new dinosaur be a hybrid because it is not found in the fossil record and is made with 3 different species or would it be an amalgamation because all 3 species are from the tyrannosaur family (similar species)? Or, let's say you were trying to create a Daspletosaurus specimen by using T rex and Albertosaurus to fill in the gaps in its genome, since they are all tyrannosaurs. Here, would there be a point where the T rex and Albertosaurus DNA have occupied so much of the specimen's genome that it stops being an amalgam clone of Daspletosaurus and becomes a hybrid of all three species? If so, where would that genetic 'threshold' be?🤔
    Can you please clarify these for me and let me know your thoughts on this?

    • @kingofprehistory7851
      @kingofprehistory7851 11 днів тому

      Ngl I think for the most part the difference is to what extent the animals were modified to. Looking at the original clones you don't see any major deviance or additional trait that they posses that's major enough to make the animal substantially different. Since the dna used was only to fill in the blanks. While in hybrids the animal has no resemblance of any current species or what their origin species were, nor do they seemingly possess any single main genome that it follows truthfully. Like the indkm having the base gene of a rex but looking nothing like the animal itself. That's my take on it ngl.

And by your definition of a hybrid in the Jurassic universe being a dinosaur not found in the fossil record and being combined with dna from other species the Leucistic Baryonyx fits that description. Regular baryonyx did not have padded feet. There is no way it could have had that without dna from either an elephant or sauropod. It’s clear that it had more changes to its dna than just suppressing the development of eyes.
      Even Dr.Wu in Jurassic World said you can’t create a predator without the proper attributes while describing the Indominus. So if Dr. Sarr wanted a blind hyper hearing predator he had to make it as quiet as possible. This the padded feet.

    I really don't know what it is with people wanting it to be some super saiyan ultra instinct mutant hybrid or whatever crap they come up with. I mean Alan Grant literally identified it in its scientific name spinosaurus *aegyptiacus* but no it has to be hybrid because it looks different from real life and it killed a t rex. And these guys have no problem with the giga looking like a roided up crocodile roaming north America with t rex. They simply cannot separate fiction from reality.

    The amalgamation, splicing, and all other types of cloning besides the pure cloning, are just different types of hybridisations, so technically all jp/jw dinosaurs are hybrids lmao. Also the spinosaurus that was in jp3, never appeared in the fossil record, cuz it's inaccurate. There was a "at the time" a accurate skeleton on mainstreet
