I didn’t understand at the time I was witnessing Pop Culture history on the big screen. Today it stands as one of the best films and soundtracks ever and way, way ahead of its time.

Joe Esposito is the king of motivational music. Sometimes I hear his songs and want to sweep legs in karate tournaments. Other times I hear his music and want to stuff hundred dollar bills into a money counter and open beauty parlors for my sister.

I remember when this film came out, I was young, and a HUGE Giorgio fan. I had all of his soundtracks, much of the Donna Summer stuff, and a couple of his disco albums. When only two instrumental tracks from the score were released, I couldn't believe it. I also thought there were more songs in the film that never made it to the album either. I kept waiting for something, anything, all to no avail. So it's simply awesome to hear some of this great music in all it's glory. My favorite cuts here are Joe Esposito's Success, Disco '79 (classic Moroder pop, with a hint at Rush Rush), No Wife, No Kids, because of it's drama, and Sosa's Theme, which is just an amazing blend of the sound of Moroder, and the feel of the film, Cuban, Miami, tense, mysterious.
I Love Scarface so much and Scarface along with A Clockwork Orange, The Godfather, Jaws, Star Wars 1977, The Shining, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Blade Runner, First Blood, The Terminator, Full Metal Jacket, The Fugitive, and The Big Lebowski are my top 13 favorite films of all time. Scarface is such an awesome and great film from start to finish. Al Pacino as Tony Montana is one of the greatest movie characters of all time, the music score by Giorgio Moroder was brilliant, and Scarface by Brian De Palma as well as The Shining by Stanley Kubrick and Raiders of the Lost Ark by Steven Spielberg are my top 3 absolute favorite 80's films. The Babylon Club scenes were absolutely stellar, Michelle Pfeiffer was gorgeous as Elvira Hancock, and the final shootout scene with Tony Montana saying "Say Hello to My Little Friend!" was awesome.
The acting was terrific - The music was simply perfect ~ The director was amazing ~ and the script was the epitome of perfection - I can watch this movie another thousand times
