- Mavericks faced the Celtics in a crucial win or go home game and managed to avoid the sweep, but I'm not happy about them being down 3 games and deciding to play like many knew they could at the last possible moment. Luka set the tone and Kyrie followed suit despite struggling half the series and Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown were essential no shows. Dallas got everything they wanted and more while the Celtics looked lazy and low energy. We now have a game 5 in Boston but I have my reservations about the Mavericks wining another game.

Literaly lost the g3 with THJ, Kleber minutes and trash timeout and people blamed Luka...because defense or something...when defense wasnt even mavs problem this series at all.
@@whocares3201 Nah, look, Mavs defence wasn't good enough before - the facts are that, this game, FAR more of the Celtics 3 pointers were contested properly by the Mavs - before they would contest but there was so much more energy in defence this game. I'm not saying it was trash but there has 100% been an improvement from luka.
Last game? luka got blown by 2/3 times he was attacked. This game? they scored like 5 points on him as the rpimary defender from in the paint and beyond the arc combined

Dallas finally did what I have been begging them to do all series..use their size and athleticism to their advantage on the boards. Contrary to popular belief, Boston hasn't really shot all that well outside of game 1, they have just been able to bury Dallas on volume 3's. They finally unleashed Lively and they dominated the boards leading to a lot of 2nd chance shots.
A 3-0 to 4-3 series would put doncic top 10. Thats literal goat stuff

I feel that the Mavs will push it to game 7 since most of the sports games nowadays are entertainment and for profit. Skills comes in second. A normal game is at least a few million a night. Every single last person who's blaming Scott Foster for the Celtics being absolutely bent over to the tune of a 48 point lead at its worst loses 100% of their credibility.
Also Q1 was actually the Celtics getting bs calls constantly while Mavs were getting nothing so the Ref shenanigans was pretty equally distributed in the first 2 and the game was over by the 3rd.
EDIT: Also its not so much on the Mavs for "not playing good" in game 1 2 and 3 which they didn't in fairness, but its MUCH MUCH more on J.Kidd, the guy can't adapt to a situation to save his life, he needs a freaking week to make an obvious change to the gameplan, game 2 and 3 were extremely winnable if he made the proper adjustments...

This is a really disappointing series because the Mavs were clearly just not ready the first 3 games in this series. They were short-arming shots, playing without any rhythm and just generally looked scared and nervous for the stage. It took them being on the brink of elimination for them to just relax and play their game. I acknowledge that Boston is still a better team, but if you started the series over today I'm confident this is a 6 or 7 game series. The Celtics aren't THAT much better than the Mavs.

@@DaCommishDude True, and also the Suns didnt implement the 3 man "Giannis Wall" defensive strategy. All they had to do was force Giannis to take jump shots, and they would have had a great chance at beating the Bucks. I mainly blame that blown 2-0 lead on their coaches.
