Concepts of gang and drug use in pop, hip hop songs, have a lot to do with the mentality of these people. Is already hard to fight gangs and drugs but we find it normalized in our daily life with these songs and games. One thing is freedom of speech other is spreading messages that are highly damaging for youngsters. There is good hip hop songs, but let's face it, most of them are violent and useless for personal growth unless you need them for street life... that's when it becomes a vicious circle.
