This is so cool; it's great to see someone coming to Warhammer through the toys and not the tabletop. Honestly, I think it probably makes for a more chill fan because you don't have all the competitive tabletop baggage.
Same here. I got into Warhammer through playing the many awesome video games that are out at the moment, but I've gotten into the lore and now want to get into the action figures. I don't have a table the size of my house or the skill or the money to play Warhammer tabletop so I'm just going to stay away from all that
As someone who just started collecting these, youre totally right about it adding up way too quickly. There's just so much to buy though, and it's hard to resist after you have a few of them together.
I agree D Amazing Joytoy 1/12 scale stuff would be astounding, Joytoy do actually do some 1/12 figures - but they are mainly anime girls in Gundam style Armour and weapons
I’m thinking on getting this techmarine and the dreadnought for my upcoming birthday and was looking around for reviews on them. They look great, awesome camerawork. Thanks for uploading!
Those Ultramarines you used in the size comparison are all Primaris. You can tell by the design of the helmet, only Primaris wear those helmets. First-born Marines rock those Vader looking helmets.
As much as I'm a 1:12 collector, i do love the JoyToy stuff and think going 1:18 is the right move. I can hope that McFarlane will revisit the line with some of the vehicles or dreadnoughts, but the smaller scale really lends itself to getting all the stuff and displaying them well. A really tempting price point. I just haven't gotten anything that size since like 2010 Marvel Universe and ive got a couple. Ive gotta really restrain myself though, I can easily see my self going full on and start repainting and customizing my personal chapter
Th3 smaller scale works given how LARGE things get. They're releasing their first Primarch soon and given how they scale to regular Space Marines he's as tall as a regular MacFarlane figure.
I wish GW would allow more toy companies to make some Warhammer 40k figures like the Commisars of the Imperium or any of the Primarchs. Hell a Sly Marbo would be dope as hell
I just got a few of these as a gift for my brother and now I’m close to falling down the rabbit hole myself! Price and lack of display space are all that’s keeping me from pulling the trigger.
New fan here, I know this is an older video but you mentioned going through some stuff and I just wanted to say, I hope life is well for you. I really enjoyed this video and I think I’m going to pick this guy up as my first warhammer figure, so thanks for convincing me!
Thanks for the lore video suggestion. I've also been watching from afar simply enjoying the lore and the video games. The video games are really good especially Inquisitor, dawn of War, battlefleet, and space Hulk. Some of them are pretty faithful adaptations of the game like mechanicus and Chaos gate. I'm glad that all of these things are here for me to be able to get into Warhammer, because I do not have the money or the skill to be painting figures
I recently got into the Joytoy Warhammer stuff myself, and ive blown quite a bit of money on them in a very short time. Having said that, I love the line and it has gotten me into the lore, so now im loving that too. As nice as 1/12th Warhammer would be, i agree with a few people who commented that 1/18th is probably the best route, so the bigger items (dreadnoughts, vehicles, primarchs etc,) can scale accurately but not become cost prohibitive. Plus they can continue the awesome attention to detail.
I hate the facts that McFarlane have the licence for Warhammer and literally doing the absolute bare minimum. What a waste.
McFarlane has license to so many lines where he does the bare minimum. Only thing he cares about is DC and occasional Spawn

It’s called 40k but it actually means 40k in credit card debt
@@SpudBoiMeBob So true!
Action figures have become little works of art. WH40K lore is the best to listen to.
Great review & photos as always. The special appearance hand had me cracking up😂.
Shout out to MAJORKILL the greatest warhammer UA-camr ever.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 my Australian brother💯
All he talks about is Dicks.

Oh I'm just waiting for the Dreadknight
"That's what she said"!! Ha ha I caught that!!
Prime day has officially throne me down the rabbit hole with these. So great full that you have some reviews of them. Thanks D!

It’s a gravity pistol I forgot twang they call them and the mounted bolter isn’t a heavy bolter it’s an Auto Bolter.

Agreed. I would it in 1:12 for my own selfish reasons like putting them with doom slayer, master chief etc.
@@DAmazing their upcoming primarch guilliman is approximately 7 inches tall
Sounds like a drug addiction…. 😂. I should stay away from these stuff for my own good.
The red and design kind of reminds me of Gundam Zaku.
They look small? I wish you had compare it to a Marvel Legends or McFarlane.
Good review D 🔥🔥
some one said : THATS WHAT SHE SAID!!! on 10:02 hahahahahaaaaaaa
Not a Bolt pistol that's a Grav Pistol
Happy Tuesday D! Hot yoga day
👍
Im calling him titan for now on i just think that titan is a good name for him
well done
Their guilliman is gonna be $130 and it’s 7 inches tall
Wha! Why you not review that Garran Crowe Grey Knight?
Was waiting to get at least 2 more from the grey knights
@@DAmazing Ah ok. Well, hope you do the Hito Kara Kuri Snake Eyes figure when that releases
Great shots and run down, as always!
I wish McFarlane would do whay joytoy does with Warhammer license instead of focusing on dc multiverse all the damn time
