The biggest takeaway I have from the video is, I need to figure out a way of buying gpus in Europe because your prices are significantly lower than what they are in the US.
Vega 56 can get 170+mhs no problem and well tuned Samsung up to 185mhs. For about $700 USD. I had 6 of them so I know they are stable. You can also go to the hive os forum to see what people hashrate for their GPU's.
Wow, thank you for putting in all this work. The only way the community gets stuff like this is by people like you putting in the work, THANK YOU SEB!!!!!
Seb is fast becoming one of my favourite crypto mining channels. The detailed analysis is good and the viewer can basically come to their own conclusion based on the facts presented, this is the reason I like this channel. This content is well researched and explained, not just opinions.
Wow thank you so much for that nice comment! I just like doing the research and try to present it objectively since I know people have different circumstances. Glad you’re enjoying it :)
One aspect that we should also take into consideration is maintenance. If you're talking about 4 years of mining, the more rigs you have the more chances something will need fixing/replacing. I would then want to also include the number of items (GPUs, Motherboards, SSDs, memory...) into the equation least being best. As usual, great analysis. Love these exercises you do!
Hey Seb - thought I would give you a quick update! Got all the parts minus a few pieces on Friday / Saturday. Realised I bought the wrong CPU and also smudged the thermal paste upon opening it so had to wait until Sunday for a new CPU and fan (thanks Amazon). Set it all up on Sunday + 3 of the 4 GPUs (as PSU only had 3 cables - awaiting 4th) and tested it on ETH / Trex Miner and everything worked flawlessly! Didn't have to do any troubleshooting at all and got 3 x 27MH/s. When the 4th cable comes today I'll get the 4th GPU plugged in and then figure out how to start mining Ravencoin! And then I'll probably be shopping around for more GPUS as I can add up to 13! Thanks again for all of the informative videos!
Dude, this is exactly what I've BEEN looking for! Thank you so much! This spreadsheet has and will be an extremely helpful guide for so many newbies in the mining space!
Miners look at this spreadsheet straight away bought whole warehouse of 1050ti & 3060 gpu. Mind blowing spreadsheet. Very informative & will become everyone reference. GOAT!!
Excellent video and very informative. I am getting into mining and am currently building a 6-card 1660 Super rig to mine Ethereum. With the whole merge happening, I guess the 2 alternative coins will be Ravencoin and Ergo. Ergo appeals more to me, as it uses much less power, thus creating less heat. I was surprised that the 3060ti is performing so good. By doing some research, the 3060ti will most likely be my card of choice for my second rig due to its efficiency. Keep up the good work buddy!
Great content, but dont be fooled by the numbers. As mentioned in the disclaimer the difficulty can change. And it has. Compared to the numbers in the spreadsheet you nearly need to triple your investment already. The difficulty at the date from this video was 1.41. now its 4.48. So you need 3x the hashpower for the results shown in the sheet.

Nice video @seb. I would say we also need to consider the lhr on the 30s. The lhr causes the hashrate to fluctuate. In some cases the "Flux" could be as large as 50mhs loss on some cards. This changes everything
