Im confused about going there , here I have a great experience and info but on the other hand you can only find horrendous experiences of people that have been working there , they compare their experience to a nightmare .
Hi Alfredo, what industry do you want to work in and what industry are you finding these horrendous experiences in? The reason we ask is because most teachers we know have good experiences and their experience does hinge on the school they're teaching at. Also we have an interview with a Kenya that works as a personal trainer and his experience has been mixed partially due to lower wages and struggles with classism.
I was reading this kind of bad experiences was more on the industrial field but I was trying to apply for an hospitality position and I have read some negativr comments about it , so thats why Im not sure about this
The hospitality industry has been widely reported as poor. There are many reports, especially from lower ranking passport countries that have had wages reduced or gone unpaid. Unless you're looking at a managerial position from a top passport country, it's advisable to proceed with serious caution.

Appreciate your help.
How much is a single person monthly rent at Doha ?
Good question. It depends a lot. Some jobs actually give a living stipend or provide housing. In the city, a normal range for a 1 br apt is 3,500 to 8,000 QAR.
@@ExpatsEverywhere are you kidding me? , That's much expensive, as I heard there are single rooms around 1,000 QAR per calendar month.
@@experimenttv7619 If you're renting a room, maybe but what standard of living are you looking for?

Hi!!! Firstly thank you so much for the information provided.. My name is Zameer i live in Mumbai(India).. I am planning to shift to Qatar.. I am a Shipping professional working at Container ports.. I need your advice if you have any idea what salary they offer in qatar for a shipping profeesional at container ports.
Sorry, Zameer. We're not familiar with your industry.
What is your profession there
Teacher.
Is there any vacancy for account teacher? I have no extra ordinary efficiency to speak English. But I have good and wast experience to teach account in my regional language. Is it possible for me to get job in Qatar?
Honestly, there's only one way to find out and that's to put together a good draft/template email and start finding schools you'd like to work for and contact them directly.
@@ExpatsEverywhere thanks for ur best support and guidance.
@@imtiyazkhandavirajkot926 You're very welcome. Glad we could help out a bit.
I'd like to hear more on women's rights and your thoughts and experience living in a country where media, freedom of speech and selection is highly regulated.
Problem?
@@salut4396 I don't understand your point here. My comment was for the video creator.

Can I get job in Qatar beacuse I'm fresh civil engineering diploma holder and one Year material testing but I have one year experience in material testing . Can I get job please inform I'm ready to come to Qatar and I have an Year diploma in computer IT and graduation degree
I want job in material testing
Thank you for this video, very informative and covered many areas. With regards to the work contract, what should be included in the contract? I heard it is not as detailed as here in Europe. Thank you.
You're welcome. Glad it was helpful! The main takeaway that Casey left us with was negotiate and add as much detail as you need/want/feel comfortable with. So take a contract that you like from a European employer and make sure that those items are covered in your contract with your company in Qatar.
@@ExpatsEverywhere Thank you! and another question. I will be working for a private household. There are not much information in this regards. Do you have any available information or will you be able to direct me to any relevant sites for further information? Thank you very much for your help in advance.
what about corruption, working environment, ?
Our friends experience was a good work environment and no corruption. On a larger scale, it does exist and work environment varies from place to place depending on who's managing it.
@@ExpatsEverywhere
if the corruption happens. Will the government in Qatar punish them strictly?.
because I think a good and healthy environment of the workplace can be affected by this aspects also.
professionalism will be dead in a corrupt environment.
Many thanks

Sarah Tara No income tax for expats in Qatar. You will need to file US taxes but you might not have to pay. We have a video on taxes for Americans

Im Canadian. I formally became a non-resident in Canada for three years there and didnt pay tax. I became a "Can resident" again and when I worked for 4 mos., I declared the income as business income. Fortunately my tax status includes a freelance career component so that was no problem. There is no income tax for you in Qatar

Ha ha ha how safe it is? That's a racist Q I can tell you! Is America SAFE????
NYC State of Mind 🤦♂️ 🤦♀️ That’s a question we ask for every single expat interview because it’s a common question have when considering moving somewhere. This interview is about Doha, Qatar and has nothing to do with America. If you’re asking us if America is safe, some places yes and others no.
It is not in the least a racist question. It's a perfectly legitimate question.
I lived in the US for 9 years and in Qatar for 4 years. Qatar is far safer than many parts of the US where I've been, includng Miami, Newark, parts of New York City, Los Angeles, Wilkes-Barre, and Pittsburgh. I was hugely concerned visiting Philadelphia for my safety and driving through St Louis, Missouri. Canada is far safer than the US but there are parts of Toronto I wouldnt want to be at night. Nowhere in Doha (or Oman, or the UAE is like that).
She doesn’t look happy!
Casey really likes her job and living in Doha, she's been there several years now.
