About 20 years ago I had a full magnaflow exhaust system on my 91 Mustang with 408 stroker kit...it sounded glorious😊

MagnaFlow has the best sound. On all my vehicles. Even had a set on my Harley Bagger, (discontinued now)
It depends. I had magnaflows on my 2001 trans am. Switch to flowmaster and it sounded so much better. I put Spintech on my Ram 1500 and wow. The sound is incredible.

Just watched this for some reason UA-cam didn’t recommend it for me and I have notifications on 🤦♂️, I have an npp magnaflow cat back on my c7 z06, it sounds incredible , great video, very impressive place 👍🏼
The perforated core may flow better than the straight pipe, but im still gonna stand behind the exhaust flow being ultimately restricted by the "weakest link", and that would be the worst flowing section of the pipe, which is what its mostly made of, the regular pipe.
But damn, X. You really went all out on this content. 🎉 dedication

My question is why the xMod won't work on my 2015 Challenger SRT 392. It has the active exhaust valves it but I called and they said it wouldn't work. So disappointing because I really want it on my car.

Interesting thought. It might work in terms of flow but would likely change the sound characteristics.

Hold up, THIS is the "flopped" MagnaFlow video? Some constructive criticism: I didn't end up clicking on this one until today because I figured it was just a trip across town with a strong, grabby video title. You could honestly probably repost this with a different thumbnail and it would perform better, because the video itself is awesome.

I was going to get one for my car, but then the price increased a bit too much, and I went with something else. Kind of regretted it though
I can appreciate an exhaust company that can patent a certain sound but what rubs me and a lot of budget minded enthusiasts the wrong way is these systems are STUPID EXPENSIVE and they offer very little in a performance and Horsepower gain! Horsepower per Dollar gain!! Hell of a Racket!! I guess they’re Genuinely a bunch of geniuses cause I’m sure they as a company are very wealthy!
Sounds is certainly subjective but in my mind you change the exhaust to create a different sound and in some cases a different look. Any performance gains are just icing on the cake. It less of a power adder and more of an acoustics and aesthetics thing.

I hope this is not to make a Dodge Charger or Challenger louder than what it already is why would you want to annoy your neighbors even more then they are already annoyed?
With the Xmod system you can configure the sound both with and without the mids, which is what makes it so nice. Is still has a distinct tuned sound but it doesn't have to be louder if you don't want it to be.
I like old school cherry bomb or Flow master. Never liked mf.
Amazing video behind the scenes of Magnaflow. The one thing that was surprising was the perforated Muffler was 38 CFM higher than the straight pipe. I've watched a lot of UA-cam videos of Challengers and Chargers hemis and just about everybody is taking off the mid mufflers and replacing it with straight pipe. And sometimes taken off the resonators. Based on magnaflows demonstration all those videos using straight pipe is not correct thing to do. Actually I do have a question. the employee showed the perforated pipe without being in a muffler. Too bad he didn't flow test that perforated pipe without the muffler to see how it compares to the perforated pipe going through the muffler.
