Hi Audria - yes! 1) Make sure you have good lighting in front of your face. Preferably a window (if your pageant is in the day time.) If It's at night I would look in to getting a ring light so there's no shadows on your face. 2) Position your laptop so that it's eye-level. You're going to be looking down and it won't be that flattering if your laptop is on your lap. I'd suggest putting it on a stack of books or a box, something sturdy, flat and elevated so that you are looking into the camera straight ahead (without lowering or raising your eyes.) 3). All other things are the same for a pageant: have your hair and makeup done, but avoid any MEGA HUGE jewelry since the frame is much smaller than in real life. For the camera from the waist up, it's all about balance. Think about how professional news anchors look. You want to appear polished and stylish but not *too* extra (ie big dangly pageant earrings or chunky, layered necklaces.) Unlike onstage, where there's the rest of an outfit and space to pull off a full ensemble, Zoom is a smaller space.
I do need to relax. Gonna work on meditation with my inner self. Hopefully, things will go great, but after all is said and done, it is a learning experience to share with others and appreciate. Thank you for your tips. ❤
Hi Verma, this is a huge question and there are whole UA-cam channels just dedicated to this topic. Not being a dermatologist, I can only answer from my experience. For most of my life until my mid 20s, I had no acne most likely due to a combination of genetics and lifestyle. I eat pretty healthy and was always doing ballet which made me sweat and I think it cleared out my pores regularly. Then in my late 20s I started getting adult acne so I began using a topical retinoid cream to get it more under control. Hormonal acne is a beast but I seem to have learned to work with it thanks to using better skincare products.
