- I'm out today on the new 2021 Honda Forza 350 to try it out and see how it handles around town riding where the speed limit is locked in at 30 mph/50 kph.

best in depth review and comparison. I am watching your series, decided to go with the xmax cause the roads in Greece are effed. Plus the gas mileage is out of this world.

Just recently tested the Forza 350 at Honda HART in Melbourne and was very impressed. The only one thing is , you only get one choice of colour in Australia.Looked up a UK Dealer and found a lot more choice. They had red, blue and two types of grey.

That is another very thorough review. Just from watching the videos it seems to me as though the Yamaha is a little quieter and it sounds smoother than the Honda. But as you say, the Honda seems like the more spirited vehicle when riding around town. BTW, it looks like your city pavement could use some improvement in many locations. Definitely a good place to test suspension performance. I can't recall how many miles you said that you had put on the Xmax, but sometimes braking will improve after a few hundred miles as the pads wear in. But if the Honda's brakes continue to be better than the Yamaha's that is an important safety feature when riding around town. There are times when riding in the city that you might have to make a very quick stop to avoid a pedestrian, bicyclist or inattentive auto driver and having good brakes can make the difference between just a close call and an accident that will ruin your day.
I have an XMax and I have to admit the brakes need to be improved a bit.
well i think its more to do with lever pressure. further in the testing on open road i give both bikes a real brake testing at 50 and 60 mph panic stops using both brakes/front brake only/ rear brake only and no mercy...lol
@@ridewithwarro Sounds like a plan to me. It will also give you a test of the two ABS brakes systems.

Great review as always but pretty close call I reckon. Yam handles better, Honda breaks better. They both get off the mark pretty quick. I guess the electric screen does it for me. In town or at slower speeds it’s nice to lower the screen out of the way. Once ya 35-40 plus it’s nice to be able to raise it on the move. Can’t understand why all the major manufacturers don’t all do electric screens. If Yam had that, that’d nail it.
Fair enough! after the testing id go yamaha and fit a performance roller kit to move it along a bit
G'day mate, if l was going to buy a scooter, it would be the biggest cc motor, brakes are important but good speed to keep in front of the traffic is a must, thanks for the show, cheers, Neil.
both scooters will move along a bit bt i think the honda has by far the best pick-up of the two. that part of it comes into play in the next few clips where they are tested pretty good on open roads.
What you may find at a great deal is the Honda forza 300 or the Yamaha majesty 400 scooters I’ve had the majesty and now have a 2017 forza 300 I bought last summer with only 800 miles for $2700 , that’s here in Missouri USA , both of these are great scooters of course the Suzuki burgman is said to be a great one also all can be bought very good prices

WITHOUT QUESTION THE XMAX ....I LOVE MINE .....IT GETS BETTER EVERY MILE. SO SMOOTH AND FAST. 87MPH. EASILY
I like your reviews, as you say Honda is not as comfortable as yamaha but has more power ,if only down comfort would the yamaha be better bet ,? 😉

I test rode the Xmax 300 and liked it a lot but as you say, I enjoyed the extra grunt and the adjustable electric screen of the Forza. In the UK there was very little difference in price.
its a pretty hard call on these scooters which is actually the best. unit as they are a pretty even match.
i'd prefer the bit of extra power the honda gives and maybe a rear shock upgrade

If that was your use scenario most of the time, good suspension becomes very important, very quickly.
yeah its a pretty rough section of roadworks. mainly due to the severe amount of rain which has plagued the local area for many months. Plus it get worse once out on the hi-ways too

Close call so far, but I think the Yamaha nails the scooter concept a bit better by being more refined. The Forza makes trade-offs by trying to be more powerful and muscular. If I wanted that kind of bike, I would get a motorcycle.

hey.what about forza front suspension.i think when i am going in every small puddle ,i feel the knocking .someone tell me to chainge oil from front suspension.I have fora about 8 month with 250kilometers.Do you think this is under warranty? So for rear suspension change factory spring preload from 3 to 4
?
i think its just the factory suspension not up to scratch. but take it back to the dealer and get them to give it a good check over whilst its still under warranty
So new braided brake lines and exhaust would fix the Yamaha.

little bit different and performance wise would easily knock over a 500....lol but not as much fun to ride. so i guess it's pretty hard to win really!
More expensive than a Interceptor.
they are a bit pricey i must admit...lol
The XMax though is cheaper in NZ. Brand new XMax is a little over 8K.
