I've started dancing for about 3 months as a leader. I like your channel to improve my body movement to be able to lead diggerent moves in the near future. As you know, without proper body isolation you cannot lead lots of moves properly.
In most bachata classes, the number of girls is more than guys but still it's difficult for guys to find a dance partner to practice outside the class because girls need to feel safe to accept to be your dance parner and this is beyond the dance skill. It is also difficult to find some free time that both partnets can find to practice. Is there a way for both folliw and lead to practice their partner dance skill solo then they can get prepared for the partner dance in the class or parties.
All experienced followes who I know can also lead so I guess you also do. Bachata is a partner dance and most people do it to dance also with a partner not just doing solo. I have a question regarding finding 1 to start dance with. There are lots of tips that I know them but still I have difficulty to find 1 effortlessly. It would also nice to share your ecperince. I also have no idea how when I find 1 and srart dacing, the follow can follow me properly and stay on the beat because there might be a delay for her to follow me. It seems there is always some delays and because of that, the folloelw may prefer to predict the nex move and this is not a good thing for the partner dance.
@@shutting88 I completely understand how challenging it can be to find a good dance partner. Personally, I’ve focused on solo bachata and other solo dance styles throughout my journey, so I haven’t danced with a partner regularly. That said, I’ve seen how important compatibility is in partner dancing - not just in skill level but also communication, mutual respect, and having a similar approach to dancing. My advice is to attend socials and classes to meet like-minded dancers, focus on connection over perfection, and keep improving your solo skills to build confidence. Which can also help attract potential partners who will see your dedication. Finding the right partner takes time, but you can grow as a dancer even without one. It’s one of the reasons I focus on solo bachata - so that no one feels held back if they can’t find a partner.
Great tips, Barbara!!! This not only applies to dance but can be applied to any sport. Very well said and laid out.
@@AparnaKamathSanRamon You’re right! Thank you very much🙏🏼
