Hey thanks Ish! I have plans to do a bunch to the Camaro this winter so there's definitely more fbody project content in the queue. Then come racing season you will see plenty of action from out at Brian's track 😉 Thanks for the sub bud!
Came from GreenLightFilming, glad to see the car went to a motivated builder. So here I am, subscribing for as long as you've got F-body mod content. Thanks for uploading
Right on man! Glad I project positive characteristics haha I defintely plan to have some fun with the Fbody. This thing is a blast, it deserves the attention. Thanks for the sub dude!
Finally found someone with this wheels on an fbody. I'm going with 19x10.5 +35mm bro. It looks gorgeous bro big ups to ya for selecting these. Looks like the fikse wheels better cheaper and looks killer
That should look awesome! Sometimes I wish I went with 19s because they look great on a lowered fbody but 18s provided the right options for competition tires.
@Dad Mods either way 19 or 18 it looks nice on your car bro if you look up fikse fm5 rims it's like the same but more expensive. I'm going to gamble with the 19x10.5 +35mm, what's your thoughts think it'll clear for me?
@@macaroni6293 yeah the FM5 wheels were part of the inspiration for going with these. I've always loved the simplicity of a concave thick 5 spoke and I love how they look on the Fbody cars! On the topic of fitment: a 10.5 et35 and 9.5 et22 will actually have the same amount of outer (face of wheel side) clearance but on the inside you will have 26mm less. I haven't measured clearance on the inside so I can't speak to specifically whether that would fit or not. I'm thinking ride height may play a role as well for clearance to suspension/steering components. I would suggest plugging in the specs of your current wheels vs the Kansei wheels into an offset calculator then climb under the car and do some measuring. Try this out: www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator#
@Dad Mods thanks. Looking forward to it, just subscribe to ya channel bud. You should do a walk around the fbody. Keep up with the good content and keep them coming.
Wondering if it ever rubbed in the front on the fender with the +22 offset I’m diggn the stance, and considering going this route. I don’t race my car just occasional pull here n there. Appreciate any feedback
My car needs new suspension. I also want to lower it as well. Are you going to do a build series on this? Also would you mind sending me the full information on these wheels and tires. They fit your car perfectly! I like the lip and the poke.
Oh nice, if you lower it you have some issues with exhaust ground clearance like mine. It's awful, I scrape constantly. It's got me pondering air suspension, like on my 1950 Ford. Haha But yeah man, I definitely plan to have an on-going build series for this car. As for the Kansei wheels, just check the description of the video for all the specs! But if you have further questions definitely get in touch.
Hi Shea, yeah at the time of filming this video the Camaro was lowered on Eibach springs and blown shocks. Lol The car now sits on Viking coilovers and is lower than the height of the springs.
Hey man just came across your vid, awesome car btw! Do you think if I roll my fenders it’ll help w my rubbing issues with my 305 tires? I’m on the vms 17x10 with 305 Mickey Thompsons
Ooh you got some MEATS bud! Nice. Our 4th gens have plastic front fenders so there's no rolling there, only trimming but the rear can definitely be rolled. It's worth a try if you think it will clear, just be careful not to wrinkle the panel by rolling too much. Or plan to do some body work if you want to really pull those lips out.
@@DadModsMedia hey man just saw you replied! Thanks for the reply! Yes I’m going to roll the rear fenders I’ve seen on the good ol’ forums that rolling rears will definitely clear and tuck nicely meaty tires like that. And for the front I totally forgot we have plastic fenders lol
@@jairobarragan67 you won't have any trouble hooking with the 305s! Good luck man, hope it all fits nicely, and if it doesn't grab that BFH and a fender roller haha
That’s funny you didn’t know the fronts are plastic. I was thinking that from the beginning “what’s he gona do on the front.” ‘93 (first year) is the only year 4th Gen. with steel front fenders.
Yoo so i realized that the wheels you have look like a good alternative to to the Forgeline fcc3 concave wheels I've been trying to get but they are so far out of my reach right now!!😭😭
Yeah man, precisely right! I fell in love with the Forgelines but can't justify the cost considering how hard I drive the car. So the Kansei KNP is a perfect solution. You will love the fit if your taste is a tiny bit of poke. 🤘
Do you think I’d be alright street driving these wheels without rolling fenders? I don’t really auto cross etc. the car is lowered an 1 1/4. I’d pretty much have a 275 squared setup.
If you look straight at your rear wheels from the side, are you seeing any gap between the fender and tire? If you aren't doing a whole lot of spirited driving you may be alright.
@@DadModsMedia hey thanks for the response brother, I just looked back at the set of these I’m gonna pick up and they’re actually 18X8.5 so I think they’re gonna fit just fine lol but I appreciate it all the same 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@_A_Daytona_ My wheels are 18x9.5 et22, so based on that the inner clearances between my wheels and yours will be exactly the same but the outer clearance will be a full inch different. Your wheels will have much more fender lip clearance. So you're good to go man!
would a 18x10 Laguna with plus 30 off set fit 96 camaro z28 its the ss slp convertible so z28 suspension I cant get fitment industries to give me an straight answer I just don't want to roll fenders car only got 33k original miles. any feed back be great.
Hey man, sorry for the delayed response. I am a bit of a wheel whore so I've been down this road a lot. I find the best method is to physically measure after running all the data through a wheel offset calculator. www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator
So the wheels I have installed are 18x9.5 et22, this means an et35 will sit 13mm inboard. You will have more fender lip clearance and less risk of rubbing BUT there's a chance you may have tighter clearances on the inside. I'm going to give you 2 of my favorite resources for determing fitment: Factory wheel spec guide: www.wheel-size.com/size/chevrolet/camaro/1999/ Wheel offset calculator: www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator Between these two guides I'm able to get a pretty damn accurate idea of what will and won't fit a car. I've used this countless times. For reference, a 4th gen SS uses a 17x9 et 50, so that wheel is sitting much more inboard than my wheel specs and obviously fits perfect from the manufacturer. I think it's safe to say the et35 wheels will fit great and provide adequate clearances.
Nice man. So yeah, my Camaro is lowered. I'm not positive what brand of spring but it appears to be a decent drop. Ground clearance with the exhaust is my biggest hurdle that I have to address this year.
I bet that wheel would fit really well. Here's a helpful took that I use any time I'm looking for new wheels for a car: www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator# Reading up on other's experiences, it seems a lot of people consider 9.5 wide wheels with an offset of ET38 to be the perfect "tucked" fitment where the wheels don't extend out but give a clean side body line. And if I use that tool it tells me that the wheel you are looking at will only extend outwards 1mm beyond the 9.5/et38 wheel. You will also gain 15mm of space on the inside. One other factor, that I'm not able to speak to is the differences between a Camaro body and the T/A. But if I had to guess I would think it would be fine.
I decided to roll because I autocross the car and didn't want to risk cutting a sidewall. You can see in the autocross videos just how much the axle articulates around corners so I'm glad I did BUT it may have been fine without rolling.
Here from green light filming here for the Fbody Camaro videos love the wheels looks great
