I am using the SD Card option. Is there anyway to programmatically copy off the data from SD Card? Is there like a copy command? I see in the webapp, you can download one page of plates at at time, but I want to bulk copy the plates and metadata off of the SD Card.
Thanks for the video. Does the camera offer some form or a rest API that could allow systems to read plate numebrs and control the black/whitelist? What is the average cost of such Hikvision models
Excellent video! I would like to know the ideal height for mounting this camera please. I'm about to mount two of these for customers at two of their appartment complexes. I was thinking 10 to 12 ft from the ground.
Great to the point video Ben. Thanks. You mentioned the possibility of anpr with a standard type cam in a stationary daylight scenario. I need to do exactly this for lit barrier access - can you tell me about the setup you're referring to please?
Great and very informative video! Thank you! I have a question about this camera. I live on a corner, which is elevated from the street by about 10 feet, and would need to install this camera under the eave of my single story house. I see there is a 8mm-32mm motorized lens version of this camera, but would like to know what the maximum effective distance would be. I estimate the distance from the camera to the capture point on the street to be 50-75 feet, and the angle offset by about 30 degrees. Would this camera be effective at that distance and angle? Considering the low speed of the vehicles turning the corner, the lens would not have to work that hard. I have previously installed 30X optical zoom PTZ cameras, but could not capture license plates at night due to poor lighting conditions. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Hi Don. Thank You. According to HikVision Spec using the 8-32mm version you should be able to capture 28 meters or 90 feet. As long as your horizontal and vertical angles do not exceed 30 degrees it will be fine. Hope that helps.
@@EQLNetworksSecurity It would be more helpful if you gave the minimum and max range, for example the 8-32mm cameras range is X feet at 8mm and X feet at 32mm. I'm also looking for min & max range for the 2.8-12mm. I recently purchased the 2.8-12mm, but think I may return it due to distance concerns. My target location 80 to 70 feet away, I'm not concerned with angle and height which I believe is within specs. I hoping for plate reading at 12mm, I know at 2.8mm it's going to be far too great a distance, but knowing what the range is at 2.8 would still be beneficial. Thanks
@@CesarGonzalez-kt7vp According to HikVision Specs in regards to Recognition Distance for the 8-32mm the Min is 7.2metres and Max is 28metres for the 2.8-12mm Min is 2.5metres and Max is 12metres
@EQL Networks and Security Thank you for the info. It's very much appreciated! I tried finding info. at the Hikvision website to no avail. Hello, do you know where you can download the images of just the plate that are produced in the "Real Time LPR Result" Tab? They are shown at 5:32 in your video. I would like to find just those images somewhere rather than the whole car.
Yes they do cost a lot more than your standard system. They are not your standard CCTV camera. The sensors in these cameras are lot more expensive and the reason why they are able to capture the license plates with such clarity. Hopefully the price of the these sensor and cameras will come down in price over time, but at present this is where we are at.
hi , something i dont know wvery well, i need to control a barrier in a block, but once i have the camara setup correctly, how i can get a relay output to control other devices? i cn for example get that pulse from an NVR? a door controller? do i need IVMS to creaate a plate list that are allowed ?
@@labassproject2897 i did it through a Software, it told the cameras to alarm on plates on the allow list and configured the alarm rule to toggle the relay on and off and i then connected a wire from the cameras to the gate opener open Connector.
Hi, Does this have the ability to be monitored by third party system? I am looking for a LPR camera that does the recognition inside the camera but can send the plate strings out via http/url/cgi etc some sort of API.
great and very informative video , i have ids-2cd7a46g0/p-izhs i want to connect it to NVR ( ds-7608NI-I2 ) . if connect it to NVR it need more setting or deepened on setting camera to get the events . thanks
Hi Leo. In this particular instance is was about 1m high and distance varied depending on vehicle distance. It would range from 7-10 metres. 8-32mm Lens version recommended recognition distance is 7-28 metres
In your example of lines setup you use an easy to set up left and right border. In the real world where you are monitoring a street with these cameras on a pole to the side - the lane-setup is infinitely more complicated. I have yet to find any combination that works. And the Lord help you if you have two lanes - don't even think about trying to set that up with any degree of success. Aside from slow-moving access-control scenarios, these cameras are pretty useless
The cameras need to be setup at the correct heights, distances and angles as per the specifications for them to work properly. If they are outside of the parameters they can be hit and miss.

Do you need a NVR or DVR for this? If so, which one? Or is this just a web interface? Also, does it have local microSD storage?
Hi James you can record directly to a micro SD Card up to 256GB and view via a web interface.
@@EQLNetworksSecurity thank you!
Great video ! Is there a specific hikvision nvr you recommend to work with this camera the best ?
Thanks Abraham. Depends on budget and how many cameras in total will be on the system. The Ultra or Pro Series NVRs will be fine.
amazing . Is this a network video camera , do i need a dvr for this ?
No, the HikVision DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZS is an IP camera and doesn’t need a DVR. It works with an NVR or can store footage on an SD card, NAS, or server.

Hey Mate, Great video. Just wondering how I would connect my gate to this camera so it opens up automatically?
Thanks. The gate would need to be wired directly to camera relay outputs.
Can the camera be POE powered? and if so what POE switch would be recommended?
See if you can get any of the newer ANPR camera to test
Another great review with the necessary Details 👍

Hi May I ask is it supporting Egyptian car license plate number?
Does this camera need to be close to the road?
Not necessarily but there's a specific distance you can place it on your house so that it is an ideal distance to the road.
Hello, do you know where you can download the images of just the plate that are produced in the "Real Time LPR Result" Tab? They are shown at 5:32 in your video. I would like to find just those images somewhere rather than the whole car.
Hi You need to make sure you have a Micro SD card installed and setup if not using an NVR. It should be able to search for it in the Pictures Tab.
How do i get the images of the license plates besides the real time detection?
Is there anything in a smaller Formfactor possible Like a turret Style LPR camera? Something you could hide inside a cinder Block...
Hi Thanks for commenting. Unfortunately there is nothing in a Turret Style for LPR.
Sir, well suppose the licence plate is not lighted during night , then is it captured by camera?
Thanks Prabha, Yes I believe it will.
Is there a way to use the car plates as input for intruder alarm or gate entrance system for example, some sort of whitelisting if you know what mean
Yes you can set it up to trigger a relay output on the camera which is connected to your gate.
Does this camera has any API for exporting detected plate numbers? How get detected numbers and pass it to other controller?
Is a computer required for installation or is an NVR device sufficient?
yes you can.
