- "Chinese Hardstone Carvings in the Qing Dynasty" features 80 treasures from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. These colorful jade carvings also reflect the world trade which flourished during the Qing Dynasty (especially during the 18th Century) by way of the Silk Road. The hardstone snuff bottles and thumb rings, used by the Manchu rulers, are also discussed. The ancient carving technique and today's new jade carvings are revealed through beautiful images.
