Definitely think it makes it way harder when you're calling out faults as they happen, rather than just completing the test & getting the feedback at the end!
i hear that but i kind of feel like its good to know you messed up as soon as you mess up rather then being told later on where you failed and you not even remembering when that was, if you get me lol
Passed my driving test yesterdday at 1st try with 20 hours of BAD driving; FOLKS, KEEP CALM AND BE STEADY WHEN THE EXAM COMES! It's much easier than it seems, all you gotta do is respect the road and other drivers!!
Really good driving Phoebe! Your really improving and it’s such a joy to see you grow and do really well in your driving! Remember it’s all about PROGRESSION NOT PERFECTION! Best wishes to you and keep at it! As always thanks for the content as always Pin! Best wishes to you too! 😊
I really like that you have a camera at the pedals, my main issue right now while learning is switching into higher gears because I keep forgetting to lift off the gas pedal. Watched this the whole way through and tried to match what she done while sitting at home haha. She done really well though!
When at lights put it in neutral, don't leave the clutch down as this can cause damage to your car. At 4:54 that was safe to go a lot sooner than you thought, that lorry blocked off the road when it was turning acting as a barrier. at 27:56 do little glances in the mirror, never stare at it.
@@qasimmir7117 It causes wear and tear on the clutch release bearing and the crank thrust bearing. This is under load while the clutch pedal is depressed. This bearing is NOT designed for long load periods, and holing the clutch pedal down at a stop light will rapidly heat and wear out this bearing. There are no lubricating points or other ways to maintain this bearing. Replacing this bearing requires removal of the transmission…nearly the same labor charge as replacing the clutch
@@wumpty93 There will be no excess heat to the bearing because with the clutch down, it is disconnected from the engine and so rotation. The only stress to the bearing will be the axial pressure from the lever mechanism which is well within the throw-out bearing’s stress tolerances. I would still recommend leaving it in neutral with the handbrake on at the traffic lights but for entirely different reasons however.
I fail because I was driving slowly ( so minor fault that turn into a major) I don’t get how not checking the mirror over and there over does not make you fail??
Why do instructors allow pupils to wait at red lights with car in gear and clutch down? Use neutral and parking brake to save clutch wear. You will do when you buy your first car.
With the clutch down, it is not wearing. The bite point is what wears the clutch. I would still prefer to use the handbrake and neutral because it’s easier and safer. But not doing so isn’t something that would fail a driving test.
Been beat to it but holding the clutch down doesn’t wear anything. Holding it at the bite so the car doesn’t go back or forward is what causes the wear. Putting it in to neutral and handbrake can be daunting for new drivers as it’s a lot to do, especially when they feel pressured to take off straight away when the light changes. I do agree with you but for newbies, brake and clutch is a lot easier.
On her lesson with her father. She never looked or turned her head any time. Missed 8-10 mirror checks per section of road. No head Bob , no observation or nosiness.
Fair bit of coasting going on there, also riding the clutch. But don't worry, mock tests are designed to fail. I only had 1 mock test and I got 17 minors and 5 serious, but I passed my actual test first time with 4 minors.
@@abuomarryou’re literally incorrect. Don’t know where you’re from but in the UK you’re a child until you’re 18. But alas, you’re Asian, we all know the beliefs in some Asian countries, probably from the one you’re from. It’s not our rhetoric in the UK thank you very much, so pls keep it over there
Phoebe is Pin’s pupil, so has weekly lessons. Everyone else is there for a mock test. Many of them are from different cities and travel hundreds of for Pin to assess them.
Why so much talking, this is more of a lesson than a mock test. I reckon she would do better if the instructor was quiet and highlighted her faults at the end, not even in the real test will she know that she is making lots of faults, telling her will make her more nervous
I think giving feedback during the test can be pretty off putting as a driver, that’s what I always felt when I was doing mock tests. But all depends on the person I guess and what they prefer.

Make the mock test harder so the real one feels easier
