Ya know, it kind of makes a lot of sense that the master of horror manga would consider himself a coward. Basically, he took all the things that horrified him, and made the greatest horror stories ever imagined. It’s like me being an arachnophobe and making a terrifying story about Spiders. It’s basically looking at what scares the author through their eyes. Its highly ironic Junji ito considers himself a coward, cuz he’s the braver then he thinks, for not only conquering his fears but drawing them too.
