The fact that your channel doesn't have over 1 million subscribers shocks me - I wish everyone knew just how amazing your videos are and how fascinating your results are! You're truly a lawn superstar!!! Bravo!!!
ive even scarified a dorment lawn (due to a hot dry spell) during a dry spell, slightly overseeded after. then i set up a timed watering system that would water heavy in the eaarly morning and then 4 more short waterings during the day for two weeks ( after two weeks the temps went down a bit and we got some rain again). it worked out great.
Scarified/scalped/overseeded/ topdressed mine over the weekend. After several failures in the spring. new grass after 3 days !!!. pregerminated seed in damp compost sand mix for 3 days prior to applying - result.
Thanks for all the tips. I did my first scarify this Saturday. Which had never been done before so it was BAD!!! Covered in thatch and soooo much moss (and tons of weeds). By the time I had finished was not much grass left at all. Reseeded and covered. Tonight I just checked and already started to sprout out new grass. Well impressed so far.
Another great video Dan, loved the Fruit Pastel challenge! I put some Equinox HD on the both lawns at the weekend and you can see the difference already. I followed up today with Steller Galactic and for the first time ever, Orb-It. I'm looking forward to seeing the results, but really need to get a cylinder mower😏
Hi Daniel and great advice you give, do you have a branch in Dudley, West Mids? haha I had to reseed again and put a fleece on as the pigeons had eaten most of the seed first time round. How long do you recommend keeping the fleece on for? Thanks Charlie...
I did exactly what you have din Dan a good scarify and with the rain my lawn is looking great just wanted to know how often during the summer should I be sacrifing
Dan where’s the front lawn on the hill next to the road with the circle in the middle that was dried out last year did you manage to get it up to scratch
Grass looks so green, my TV can't pick it up properly lol. Interesting to see you cutting grass in the day, I wasn't sure if I could cut my grass during this hot weather.
Looking great. I remember you were considering turfing the front for the owner but decided to do it all from scratch and it's just brilliant how perfect it is edge to edge. Maybe you should do an edited single video compilation of the work you did from the start and end it with how it looks now.
Hi Dan, When you scarified this lawn did you use the Allett spring tine scarifier attachment or the bladed dethatcher attachment? (These are the Allett descriptions)
I know you have a couple of Harrier Pro’s but have you thought about moving over to the 60v Harrier 48 so both your cylinder and rotary are battery machines? Lower noise levels, cheaper to run, minimal maintenance and service costs, no engine issues, zero emission at point of use, all the Toro handheld gear that uses the same batteries etc…? You may have to think about getting the van set up for chargers but once it’s done you’re sorted.👌
Would love any advice on dealing with an invasion of self heal as my folks' garden is covered with it, just sprouted last few days. Lots of moss too. I'd guess an all-over chemical treatment is needed after scarification & something for the nitrogen balance but unsure if I should knuckle down and uproot as many of the little sods as possible first - any help appreciated
Q. for you Dan. Party for my sons(21&23) this weekend. So main lawn will be covered by marquee, matting and dance floor(Thurs-Mon). What would you do to recover the poor lawn afterwards. Gentle scarify+Stella &Grace..?
Quick question. You said no seeds. And explained it with you wanted the current grass to fill in the spaces by themselves. But when should you seed then, and why is that different from this time?
Are you happy with the Stirling cut level/look? some german youTubers complaining that it is uneven side to side, due to a design flaw. few milimiters difference between left and right. i see some uneveness in this lawn, is it the cut quaility of just grass not standing up evenly?
Excellent results once again. I’m struggling with a Poa infestation so planning a full renovation in September. Would it be best to still dig out poa now and have bald spots or just leave till renovation? Currently doing a high scarify before every mow to lift seed heads as much as possible.
Hi I have a lot of meadow grass in my very large lawn. I’m trying to keep it short and scarified Reese’s in April. Any ideas. Also how many times can I feed lawn with dans magic etc
Q for Dan. Just wondering why you don't use the scarifier attachment in your Allett Kensington? With the grass box on, would save time picking up the debris...
Hey @danielhibbertlawnexpert , you speak about a dog stain on that lawn - have you done a video where you explain the best way to deal with dog stains on the lawn? I think our dogs pee is radioactive as we have a few spots on the lawn that she likes where the grass is just burned and will not grow.
I dont want to do a vid on executing dogs, thats not what the public want, the only way to cure it is not to let it on and take it out for a walk rather than being lazy and using the lawn as a toilet
Dan I’ve been spraying wetting agent separate from other products, can I just do it all at once? I think I remember you doing it separately in videos a while back? I think I know what you’re gonna say…
i love all your videos and i have gained lots of info from them. I know its a dirty word but i would like to know how much money one of your premium lawn customers pays for your skills .After it is established Is it an annual contract ? monthly ? or per visit? Thanks again.
Hi Daniel, could you please tell me what scarifier machine are you using. Is it still available on the market or if not what could you recommend. Thank you
Question for Dan, does equilibrium scortch the grass ? I used a granular about a week ago and it scorched in a few places, just waiting for it to recover before I spray on some of your products
My good looking lawn is suddenly filled with clover. From none to complete coverage in a couple of weeks. What's the best solution to remove it? Thanks
Do you scarily 1st then cut? I am trying have my lawn at around 35mm have kept it decent even witb the heat can see seed heads up an amg im thinking grt tore in tomorrow again remove the thatch an feed. What process scarify cut feed?
I am looking at the front lawn Dan and I swear your stripes are floating, smashing camera angle whilst you were cutting, everything is just popping. I truly love these front and back lawns (Obviously others are peachy too, Lol)
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpertDan I was watching your other video yesterday where you used MM50 seeds, I did look out for it and Johnson's J premier seeds caught my eye. What do you use to scarify and what setting. Every time I hire a scarifier from various tool hire places they all seem to be all or nothing. I wouldn't mind scarifying more regularly if it only did a small amount like yours. How many times do you scarify. Love the video, cheers. Can you eat a donut without licking your lips. 😂
You’re work is amazing! Really hope to learn a lot of your work to be able to do some of this myself. Do you have social Media ? I’d like to show you some photos of a job I did recently to ask for some advice!

A beauty Dan. And so is the former Britains best lawn!
That new Allett works a treat, looks like a sound investment. Beautiful results

Fabulous Dan,bought myself a verticutter at the weekend, done the lawn with it...think i need to do some levelling up lol, keep up the good work ❤
Great work ‘Daniel Son’ - did a two pass scarify 6 days ago to try and win back ground from a poa invasion so good see all should be well

No as would require to many batteries with amount of jobs
Will scarify your lawn break the pre-emergent barrier and allow for more weeds to pop up?

Sow pro and Grace for sure
Quick question. You said no seeds. And explained it with you wanted the current grass to fill in the spaces by themselves. But when should you seed then, and why is that different from this time?
Seed when there are big gaps are early doors but we have already seeded this in spring renovations

Very nice Dan could you spray the Lawn with Dog Pee this would save on expensive products your No1 Fan
Absolutely epic lawns! Are you accepting challenges now then?
No definitely not, was just for bit of fun, will leave that kind of stuff for ant n dec

Q for Dan. Just wondering why you don't use the scarifier attachment in your Allett Kensington? With the grass box on, would save time picking up the debris...
It wouldnt be aggressive enough
Daniel if you only have a rotary mower is it possible to get the results you achieve?
Yeah sure obviously you just dont get that crisp finish but most would be deleriously happy with the first cut result

Ive been watering weeks here so its soft

Per visit costs a fair bit for this house but do a lot of work there

Hi Dan, my lawn is suffering with red thread is there a product on your website you would recommend to help treat it ?
Not letting the lawn be deprived of nitrogen in the first place is key but no i dont sell anything specificlly for it
Looks fantastic.
I'm assuming the cylinder mower is a premium product?
Very premium.
Aye but its my hobby too so like a golf hobby i buy the best gear

Weedkiller for lawns

Better together liquids dont have same longevity as granules
