Beautiful car! Chevy Imp 65SS my favorite! My hubby bought one because I wanted one but unfortunately he passed away and now I’m stuck with that project but I’m so nervous because I have no idea where to start. I’m just so in love with my car. Hopefully one day it will be a beautiful ride!
@@SD619NINI Sorry for you loss ma’am. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 He musta been a pretty cool guy and obviously you’re pretty cool yourself for getting that 65. Although he may no longer be here in a physical form, he’ll always be a part of you. And maybe that 65 is that last physical material he made sure he could leave you with. Idk your guys’ background story. But it would be pretty cool if rather than thinking of that project that you got stuck with, you could think of it as, getting the opportunity, to honor his spirit, and enjoy that badass 65 the way you both might have dreamed of. 😎😎 As for where to start, not knowing what your guys’ 65 looks like, a general rule of thumb to build a car would be something along the lines of: -Engine -Transmission -Differential -Brakes -Suspension Then all the Guts are taken care of. After that: -Bodywork -Paint Now it drives good and it looks good 👌🏻 Then last but not least: -Interior. -Sound system Before all that starts though, you should already have a vision of what you want it to look like. Cause a lot of the parts that you’ll need, will be reliant on what you want your car to look like, feel like, sound like, etc etc. So the real step one, is to spend hours n hours looking at pictures and videos online of other 65’s or other cool cars in general to get inspiration. You do enough of that, and the vision will blossom on its own. Then it’s just a matter of forking over the cash to make it come to life. Lol I’ll shut up now cause I’m a talker, but I hope that helps. Have fun and good luck on your 65! Maybe one day it could have a video of its own… 🤔
I don’t remember exactly what he told me about that but with an engine bay like that, I wouldn’t want to cover it either. But I think he said he liked the way the hinges looked sticking up like that. Kinda like horns 🤘🏻
I consider my 65 Impala SS a “He” also and I correct people when they come up to me and say “she’s a beauty” I mean my car been through hell and back with me for 25 years since I was gangbangin’ in my teens. Im 37 years old now. It even has 5 bullet holes on the fender and driver side door I left as a reminder that I could’ve lost my life that day. That car is my homie 😎
The homie Viejo outta Watsonville Califas✊🏽

65s are the best!! Any reason there is no hood on this one?

Why the hood missing
🤷🏻♂️ if my engine was that clean, I wouldn’t wanna cover it up either.
