the 4 wheel drive system service required light is due to your bumper being off. it is from lacking the signal of the ambient air temp sensor mounted in the bumper
@@ChrisGoorbarry I’m not saying that is your only issue, but it will always throw that light when the air temp sensor is disconnected. Scared the hell outta me after I did a bunch of work, but I was relieved that it was an easy fix.
If I give a 10/10 for a channel in youtube, it have to be this. Very crisp and clear and in detail and perfection. This channel needs to grow and will reach millions. Your love to Evo's and they way you treat them is absolutely giving me goosebumbs. Thank you so much man for taking care of them and preserving the art.
I learned to love my SST trans. Just warm your car up well and always if possible drive it in Super Sport mode to get the longest life out of the trans. It’s actually kinda nice always manually shifting without having to use a clutch pedal constantly. Oh and change the fluid every 20k mi.
agreed. did this on my ralliart. S-Sport until like interstate. Always use Diaqueen in the US too. if the SST gets chatty(owners know what i mean), change the fluid
@@ChrisGoorbarry GSR owner here but I know there is a different Japanese maintenance schedule compared to Europe/NA. I’ve heard SST owners say its best to follow the Japanese maintenance schedule since the Europe/NA ones were wrongly extended due to the fear of scaring buyers from the shorter maintenance intervals in Japan.
I loved to hate it. As long as your power is mild its decent but at some point on thrm over 50k theres always something that breaks and is hard to repair. I had mine built by kozmic once the shift fork problem happened along with the clutches going. It was a fun daily tho
I cannot give you enough praise for this channel. Seriously, the quality of everything from the filming and music to the voice over work is insane. On top of that, the work you do on your vehicles is topnotch and being a lover of OEM+ builds, this channel is so easy and enjoyable to watch. I'm excited to see this channel grow!
This was awesome to watch. That feeling you did something on your own that would have costed thousands upon thousands of dollars had someone else done it is so rewarding.
Congrats Dude it is always good to see projects come from a dream to reality. I am actually sharing this feeling with you since I last commented I've been working my butt off restoring that Mirage Cyborg ZR of mine and I've actually got it started and back on the road!!!! Still needs some body work doing to get it mint but none the less happy its once again alive :) Its good to know there are people like us bringing life back into these Iconic JDM cars
Very nice my guy. So precise, you remind me so much of myself when it comes to my Evo. Definitely a perfectionist.. except your garage is much cleaner and organized lol!!
Congrats brotha on getting her back on the road!!!Its crazy how much the SST trans is slept on smh. There’s a lot of great comments in here about how to make sure the SST reliable and happy 👏🏼.Always let the transmission warm up for a good 15 minutes or so on the road(especially after a cold start) before you start getting on the car.20K SST OEM Diaqueen trans fluid flushes is a must.Always drive the car in Super Sport to prolong them clutches as long as possible. And try to keep the torque limited to no more 350ish on a DynoJet.And never lift off the gas pedal between gear shifts.
Nice content, heart warming. the light shown just need a proper wheel alignment, then it will poof, goes away. Just EvoX usual thing haha. Happned to me when i bring mine to track day and hit an apex too hard, wheel & sterling alignment saved the day :)
The ayc code is because you disconnected the ACD line from the tcase. You have to bleed the AYC pump now. Make sure you do a teach in on that new trans now!
I am from Brazil i realy dream about this car i have a Lancer GT that i work realy har to buy, but here is too expensive a car like that but i will get one someday, congratulations too you and your car, and all youre care that you have i realy appreciate that.
hey cris ived got a evo x mr 2011, i replaced the oem manifold and gasket, after install it gave no boost at all, and the car is not running as it should. I checked the manifold bolt and torque it properly but i notice the waste gate arm is stiff to open on the turbo. i checked if ther leaks for all the hoses and its all good. But i dont feel any boost and go fast bov 50/50 had no sound.
I highly recommend upgrading the transmission with Kozmic motorsports, get that shift fork upgrade and and maybe better clutches. I've been using their 12 clutch plate upgrade and it's been running smoothly. 450awhp.
Mr Seth! Thanks bro means a lot coming from the Evo X lord! And really?? Hmm I’ll try eye balling an alignment to see if it goes away! I don’t want to align it until I get the new wheels and suspension stuff
I know why you are getting the asc needs servicing it has happened to me it is because the steering angle sensor is off when you are driving in a straight and yours steering wheel is at 10 past if you dropped your subframe and steering rack you have not lined it back up properly evo scan or a good launch system will sort it out but the ayc and traction control run off of the steering angle sensor and ATM the moment the system has no idea what is going on hope this helps
