Yes , I agree with that. I spent £10 in the coop in Brodick and spent nearly an hour to do some bits of ''life admin'' . No-one complained or anything. If I tried that in London , I'd probably get lots of complaints.

If I wanted to film on a ferry, would I need permission or not ?

I think it's just common courtesy to ask if you film someone, anywhere really. But lots of folk walk about filming on their phones these days, its very common

@@davetheraverovingtherock now I understand, because it’s normal these days, people would understand and I see what you mean as it wouldn’t require any permission as it’s filming the ferry itself and the views but it’s not aimed at the people on board, rather just the ferry itself.

@FinlagganYT Exactly . In fact Caledonian Macbrayne actually appreciate the revenue such travellers provide. I hear that Northlink and DFDS are not as welcoming. On some vessels Caledonian Macbrane even have a merchandise shop. I was looking forward to this on MV Hebridean Isles but it was closed. It's a shame .
