These shanty’s are the only thing that keeps me from fast traveling
Fir me it's that, the sailing mechanics and naval battles, trying to fight the wind to get out of a storm is just so satisfying
I need to borrow my sisters ps3 and the black flag only for this
Factsss tho mainly this one tho
That and shooting random ships
Homie woke up and chose to speak pure facts
I can't listen to this song without imagining sailing the Jackdaw
Ik what you mean.
Yes.
So fkn true man
I want to be able to use my Ubisoft club points to buy these shanties for the new games

I require aid Robert, for I have become anebriated in the passage named after the bone betwixt the femur and the ankle!
You could use a couple more likes, pal
The broski anthem lol
HARK! my dearest compatriot robert, i beseech you to lend assistance to my cause of exiting this small passage way betwix the establishment that sells alcoholic beverages and meals, and this adjacent building whose purpose is unknown. i humbly request aid as i have found myself bully, or to put it in layman's terms, blackout drunk, in this alleyway hitherto refered to as "shinebone al" a strange moniker the locals have given this location as perhaps its similar design to the "shinebone" also known as the tibia, which connects the knee joint to the ankle joint, whose long though narrow design matches this location closely, or perhaps as a macabre nod to alleyways often being used as locations of illegal misconduct ranging from sexual favors, to trades of ill gotten materials in recompense for bonds or coinages of various worth, and most likely in relation to my current location, favorable terrain for ambushes to assail individuals for their valuables and possibly their deaths should these individuals deem it so. WAYHAY, i am rather inebriated within the confines of shinebone alleyway, do come quickly dear robert.
sincerely,
- your intoxicated ally

My entire life falling apart at 19, me sea shanties at work
That's what they're for. They sang as they worked. Helps the monotony
I feel you. Helps me do the dirty work in the car workshop
Legit in the same situation exactly. I listen to these Shanties and it let's me escape to a wooden ship with clear skies, the comradary of a crew, and the sweet sea air.
@Mike King living the dream pal
definitely the best sea shanty in the entire game
definitily
Funny how this mentions the same Sally as the Sally Brown in the other shanty.
Given Blythe believe it or not, in shanties back then, they used the name sally because it was super common and just a nice name!
@@adamquinn3230 similar thing as johnny
@@Ballslicker23 actually that was a name for shipmates
If i'm not mistaken Sally was a common name, like Linda or Courtney.
But now for the cool part: Sally Brown was the name for Heroin (or Opium, i would had to fact check), and a hint to the addiction, just like "Chase Mary Jane" or "Kick the gong" or even "Pursue the White Dragon"

I also like
I think you mean assassins creed 4 black flag
Good old days , me 13 years old playing black flag when I got home from school and listening to sea shanties while sailing. Man those were good times. Playing through this game again 9 years later is not as magical
I was 5
Second time is never as special. Happened to me with red dead 2.
These shanties are the only thing that keeps me moving during crab season.
I love how „manly“ the song sounds :)
Boutta boot up my WiiU in 2021 just to sail the Jackdaw and listen to the shanties whilst looking for whales.
Luckily you can play it on ps5 too
Oh man after 3 I got so upset that I ditched AC for the longest time. It wasn't until last month that I decided to replay the whole series again and when I got to black flag it was such a fun fucking time, I'm glad I waited; I feel the story hits more close to home especially out of the animus when your spying around hearing the ghost of desmond on the voice mails.
Definitely my favorite game, I’m happy you replayed it! Sadly my Xbox360 gave out, it tore me apart, I can’t reopen the game without crying a bit.
My Favorite Sea Shanty in the whole game i love so much this Shanty
It’s awesome isn’t it.
Listen to limbers men, they are an English group who sing shanties and they sing the full version pretty well
Great shanty probably my favourite along with Spanish ladies.
little error though.
It is “spliced nearly”
It means marry

5 stars for ubisoft making this song
they didn't
they're songs that sailors in general have sung when they are working on the ship

2021 Mateys!
I wonder what the meaning of "bully" is here. It can't be the same as the meaning today.
It seemingly means drunk, apparently. If someone is too drunk to really move they're "bully".
now we ALL know.
I love it when i walk past a drunk hobo while bumpin this shit. Gotta love IL
Help me Bob I’m bully in the alley
Did he ever come back? @ 1:01?
Im going to get the boys together and sing this on sea of thieves
He bullied her all along because secretly he loved her, just wouldn't admit it.
I feel like this happens alot to be honest 😅
"Bully" in this case means extremely drunk. Nothing to do with actual bullying haha.
is referring to a group of drunk (bully) sailors
This song had more story development and intriguing plot than the entire game of thrones series

Skull and bones is out mateys let’s set sail once more
I don’t understand this song can someone explain it to me
It's hard to really explain the song but the title in modern terms would be "Help me god, I'm drunk in the alley"
There is a fair amount of variations on this shanty. In this one, the sailor is singing about how he almost married Sally (spliced = tie the knot), but she put him off so he went sailing (probably to make more money), now he's drunk in some other port that also has a shinbone alley. Swearing if he ever gets back he will marry her and have a bunch of kids.
In the version I am more familiar with, he leaves Sally behind to go whaling, and shacks up with a loose woman in another port. And he's humble bragging to his mates (kind of). In some contexts bully could also mean pleasantly buzzed rather than completely drunk.
Yar saylors 'nother week to conquer
