  • Beacon grain growers Stuart, Raymond and Jason Faulkner are this year participating in ground-breaking trials investigating better systems for de-compacting and stabilising compacted soils.
    This project is part of GRDC’s major investment in addressing soil compaction in WA through the Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA) project ‘Minimising the effect of soil compaction on crop yield’.

    It is tillage and bare soil that makes compact soil because it destroys the pore spaces in the soil.

      I have the bare but and going to subsoil for beginners!

    Just don't rip or till too much, since it also destroys beneficial soil critters.
