Pokerick, my man, i don't know if you remember me. I'm the one that persuaded you to use the speedrick build for some time. Sorry if you already read this comment in the previous video, but i thought you didn't since i posted it late. Anyways, S14 offers new wonders for this build and if you tried it just ONCE i'd be really happy :D It works like this: the build is almost the same as before (phase rush - manaflow, celerity, gathering storm + inspiration - magical footwear, cosmic insight). I've swapped approach velocity for cosmic insight because the core of the build uses different actives, starting with the new stridebreaker, which is AWESOME for many reasons: 1) the more champs gank you, the more it's effect is powerful and you can sprint away, 2) it works as an another activator for phase rush AND eclipse (along with the new tiamat active). The item build works basically like this: you pick these items in order of survivability you need (from most to less): stridebreaker, eclipse, yooumu, profane hydra, opportunity). In the moment you activate tiamat or stridebreaker you get the eclipse proc and you can add yooumu just for extra spice. All these active cooldown is reduced by cosmic insight. You can spice it up by using force of nature / deadman / hullbreaker sacrificing one of the items (or replacing swifties). It's really fun. Of course it won't save you from a team that decides to lose, but still :D
Hey! My fav Champ vs one of my other favs! Not bad for one of your first Vel games! Don't feel like you gotta read all this, I just love Vel'Koz and want to talk XD Biggest thing to keep in mind if you play him in the future is that his kit revolves around the slow from his Q and his passive. Q's like hitting your E on Yorick, you've won the trade, you just have the extra step of pressing W or even E+W while the slow is still going. Always try to keep a charge of W in reserve for fighting when wave clearing for 2 passive procs. E is reaaaaaaly hard to hit without setup, even with the recent buffs. Don't throw it out unless the target is already CC'd (like Q slow) or the target is not expecting it (like being out of vision or at a random unexpected time). Try to only press R when the target has 2+ passive stacks (or is in W+E combo), does crap damage unless you get full 3 passive proc. In summery, use your abilities in conjunction with Q, almost never one at a time, play around passive/Q slow.
Mr.Pokerick, as velkoz mid i advice you to do 3 points in Q and then max W as that way you have good good waveclear and better all in without giving up the early poke of Q :3
@@akirakato1293 nope, 3 point Q for more early poke damage, but as the game progresses W is much more important to max as 1) it's His waveclear tool 2) it's his main damage, or to be more precise, the passive is his main damage source, and maxing W allows for a lot more procs and therefore damage than if you were to max Q first, the only reason you'd max Q first is if the enemies are really mobile and it's hard to stick them on W. Also upon checking, Azzap actually stopped doing it, he used to do it a lot last season early during this one but i guess the burst is more worth it more often
One of the beautys of league is learning a champion so well that when you get it picked out from under you, you know exactly how to shut your favorite champ out. The evil of the game is how your team will treat you if you're the one getting shut completely out.

Vel'Koz a surprisingly good response to everything. Exept Zed And Yone Some times Katarina And Yasuo Maybe Akali Oh and anything that can just flash and jump on top of you with no counter play whatsoever because that's fun.
This looks more like a Yorick favorite matchup than a Velkoz favorite one in terms of ease of execution and how forgiving it is. Yorick has sustain, Velkoz doesnt. Yorick ghouls are impossible to kill with spells and Mages have no attackspeed Yorick poke deals more damage than Velkoz poke Yorick can kill towers quickly, Velkoz cant even walk up to the tower because a jungler might show up and kill him Yorick can interrupt Velkoz ult with his W Yorick W is a better version of Velkoz E Yorick can split push, Velkoz cant Lethality items are cheaper than Mage items
Feeling bad for this Nocturne, man He helped u at least 2 times, and u did nothing for him. And in the end... "Is this Nocturne trolling?" "We can easily get the baron but it looks like people don't care" Yeah! Like you did the whole game before... Feels too bad...
Hate to say it (love the channel btw), but that decision to ignore team objective play at 13:15 was a very obvious mistake. You had prio, as did bot, and jg was first to drag. Enemy positions were soon known, and yall would have been first into position for the teamfight that inevitably occured as drag was finished. That would have been a huge team win. I think even with the counter, you should have known that enemy Yorick would stay and push since that what you would do, and taken the opportunity to take the free drag, losing only 1 wave. Enemy Yorick is left with 2 bad alternatives: join a losing fight at drag or back, allowing you to push a free wave in response. What happened was the worst possible outcome and your team was right to blame you : /
Ooh boy. Not to be a hater, but this one was sloppy, I don't know what we did to lose prio in lane, or why we were flaming the noc, but both teams kinda inted. If you told me this was like, mid emerald, I'd believe you.
