OP storms? I'm in! Tip: For 2000's style videos, I recommend buying a cheap digital camera for that grainy look. EDIT: Only issue is that an alert would NOT be activated for the entire state in this case. Mayfield triggered a state emergency, but the alert was not broadcasted for the entire state of Kentucky. However, you did good, really good.
True. But this isn’t supposed to be completely “realistic” I always aim to be creative in my own custom way of thinking. I appreciate the feedback and support tho!
Volunteer spotter here: This is incredibly well done! The Ruston tornado reminds me of the Greensburg tornado that wiped out the entire city and killed 11. They built it back with every building having LEED certification. It might be the most environmentally friendly city in America now. The scenario overall is very accurate to the spotter experience, with just a few minor nitpicks. If you're using volunteer spotters in your scenarios, we're often told to equate size to something well-known, because with just numbers, we often mis-estimate (typically it's underestimating). For context, 1" hail is the size of a quarter, and is the size threshold for "severe storm (>1" hail)" or "not a severe storm (
Appreciate the feedback. I will say though, I meant the news taking volunteers to help clean up the city and help those who have been affected by the Tornado. It’s basically a community service event.
I love how the little details add to how incredible this scenario is; the older-style radar maps, the grainy sounds the weather radios produce every so often, it's all really well done. This is easily a top-5 scenario for me. Incredible work, FT!
This video was genuinely chilling, and even anxiety inducing at times. It's so well produced that it really feels real. I cannot give enough kudos to you FT, this is one of if not the most well made EAS Scenario i've ever seen
Golly this was one heck of a scenario! Especially since this is in the state I live in! I very much like the name “Cajun Twisters” it’s so fitting for Louisiana scenarios.
My only nitpick is that Northern Louisiana is actually the poorer part of the state, not to mention being where Louisiana Tech is. So...Ruston ain't coming back very strong.
I’m one of those guys into analog horror and eas scenarios. I’ve spent years trying to find the absolute best and I can say with confidence that this, sir, is the greatest scenario I’ve seen. Very well done and subscription earned . Love the vintage feel and voice acting. I am looking forward to seeing more.
i’ve lived in louisiana my whole life and have not seen very many scenarios where louisiana is the star of the show. i like to see my home state get some attention ♥️ edit (5/31/24): i’m only just now realizing how creepy the scene of the tornado going through baton rouge is. it’s so creepy to me because i’ve traveled there so many times in my life, it’s just so unnerving to see a tornado just pass behind the capital building. that noise it made only creeped me out even more. but what i find the craziest is that if this had actually happened, i would’ve been 8 months old. i also remember attending a game at tiger stadium sometime in 2008. i don’t remember what month, but i’d imagine it would be close to the date this scenario is set. if you had set the scene a little bit more to the east, like folsom, franklinton, or bogalusa, i truly would have been 100% creeped out. i live in between franklinton and bogalusa, for example. nonetheless, this was such a well-executed scenario that really hit close to home. better than what i could’ve done, for sure 😅
There have been quite a bit of tornadoes that have killed over a hundred people. The deadliest Tornado in US history (the tri-state tornado of 1925) killed nearly 700 people.
Will edit this message once I’m done with my review but I have a question: how do you get your speechify Tom to not lag? When I listen back to it it sounds like it’s lagging, but right now I’m 13 minutes in and this is INCREDIBLE.

@@ftscenarios ok! Makes sense. You need to make a mock of that. I made a scenario long back of it going to Louisville
early 2000’s? but this takes place in 2008

One of the best tornado scenarios I've seen hands down, thanks for the opportunity to voice act!! :)
It was a pleasure as always, Radio! Ty for joining in! 🤝

16:40 lol I wonder if that was because of the region or a programming error that it pronounced it like the city in Alabama.
Mannnnnn, I didn’t even notice that 😭

@@ftscenarios No problem! It's a great video, and i'll have to check out more of yours
Yep this is the best tornado scenario and it's really not particularly close
I've been floating around the community for a while, and this is by far the best mock ive ever seen. Feels like im watching a documentary

@@Techno_Idiotoyeah it would’ve been better if it was located more down south to fully represent the Cajuns.

Dude. This was amazing man. Incredible stuff. All these screens were amazing.
Great video!! Nice to see my birthplace(Louisiana) in your video!! Though I never look forward to Summer time because of the bad weather. LOL!!
Honestly Ruston should have gotten a Tornado Emergency given that hundreds of people died to the EF5 tornado that struck the city, but that’s just me.

I plan to make a California tornado outbreak scenario after elixir
Could you do a scenario where a tornado strikes the Indy 500? That would be interesting...

Woahh. Did you create the radar? If so how did you do it I’m looking to start making scenarios like thus
