We did eight years on a 47' sloop 30 yrs ago, mostly in the Caribbean, so I relate a little. We also went from RVing to sailing. NEVER have I seen such accurate documentation of the "life". Now I'm 83, and I'm reliving some of those eight years through you. Between presentations I find myself becoming anxious & impatient for the next. As an aside, we stumbled on a bargain for stainless chain & anchor. No rust, flaking, stretching, staining.
We started watching this channel when the Wynn’s were in their oversized R V. and Jason was trying to repair a flat tyre, it was so painful to watch (was bloody funny though).my daughter said that Jason should never be aloud near near a spanner now they are sailing across the pacific and doing as if they have been sailing all their lives,. it’s a credit to both of them for undertaking this part of their journey through life, I’m so bloody envious ....
Remember that episode with Jason changing the flat tire on the RV... hilarious scene. But look at him now... Captain of his boat and the prince of Nikki’s heart. Sail on ⛵️
This one video of yours was what life is really like at sea, not all fun and games. You both seemed kinda down with all the issues that have popped up but I know you’ll overcome them. It was still a very good video sharing your life, thank you.
I continue to be amazed at the audacity of some people. You offer gorgeous scenery, thoughtful commentary...indeed, a glimpse into your personal lives. And folks come here to criticize you for adding lovely music to this video? I find myself feeling sorry for the people who have to *live* with their negativity. Thank you for sharing so much of your hearts and souls with us. I so admire your integrity, creativity and love for life.
The ying and yang, the ups and downs, waves, sun, boat problems, storms and moods come and go. The natural rhythm of life. Thanks for capturing the sweet melancholy so well.
Actually, CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY! I talked to my company about a purchase and was told there's NO statute of limitations. At least talk to them. If they say no, then you're in the same place you are now.
Thanks for the “not feelin’ it” honesty. I can imagine that living with the thought that you have to film everything “good”, regardless of what’s going on with you, could feel oppressive.
I think what most people fail to realize, although the lifestyle is beautiful, thrilling and exciting. Your body must always be on alert for danger or something unpredictable, even at anchor. I’m sure this ongoing alert wipes you out at times. Love the videos.
Jason , just remember that a little bit of bad just makes you appreciate the good all that much more. I hope you do get to call someone to task for that bad anchor chain , crooks should be exposed, even if it’s just to protect the next person in line. Stay safe and keep enjoying life .
I sincerely hope that you folks that get to travel and enjoy these "garden spots" realize just HOW LUCKY YOU ARE! I've spent my entire life HARD AT WORK, and almost never could even leave my home state. It would have been an INCREDIBLE blessing to see some of these places.
Your comments about your expectations being met and surpassed makes me think how our sense of self expands with the experiences we seek out and the memories we carry with us. That makes me wonder how you have changed since your teenage years. How has travel made you different, better? How does it drive you forward? Your videos are thought provoking and stir my own desire to travel more.
I watch all your videos and share them often. I have no idea why you guys don’t have over a million subscribers. The quality of your videography and content is amazing.
I always find it interesting when people talk about the sounds of sailing, and how pleasant it is just to hear the waves passing by, the wind in the sails etc, then they put a musick track in the back ground, or say they listen to podcasts.
No apologies are ever needed. You work hard to share yourselves with us. You’re allowed to just be tired, down, overwhelmed or whatever other human emotions may come along. The video was peaceful, beautiful and surprisingly rejuvenating considering how you all were feeling.
I really appreciate the honest blogging. I think there's a lot of pressure to gloss over the rough edges and only promote the picturesque and larger than life parts of our adventures, to make a moment fill an eternity and promote it to the world for our own vanity. This vid struck me as very atmospheric, I feel like you captured your exhaustion, the hanging onto humor despite the heat and frustrations, I can see you're still full of appreciation but sometimes the going gets tough, regardless of where you are in the world, but you always keep Curiosity pointed forward. There will always be more projects, there will invariably be setbacks you cant foresee despite best efforts to prepare for every contingency.... Curiosity is like a manifestation of life, a metaphor for the challenges to overcome, whether your house is planted on a foundation or drifting in the wind, life must keep moving forward. Something about this vlog struck me in a deep way and I am grateful for you two finding how to convey something meaningful.
Thanks for that! Life's all about how you handle what gets thrown at you, right? Thanks for taking the time to comment - it's ones like this that keep us motivated to get the content out. 💙💛💙
You two are always a joy to watch. You live life the way you want to. Survive the not so good and really enjoy the good and best of all you share it with us. And you keep it honest. Hopefully something positive will come from this anchor chain problem. Either something gets fixed or at least you keep others from having to go thru this. Stay safe, live life.
"I cannot call the credit card company to get my money back" Yes you can. It's called a chargeback. I don't know if your specific scenario is covered, worth a call. I've done chargebacks up/close to 3 years old because the company went defunct and or refused to honor a warranty. One of the best reasons to use a credit card on your purchases!
Life is so tough moving from paradise 1 to paradise 2 while listening to the ocean lapping up against the hull. I love the story, one persons tough life is a mother shear bliss.
No apologies needed for the melancholy mood. We've all been there and with the heat, the hours of work, realizing you've been swindled all mixed with leaving one of the most beautiful places on earth...it just gets ya sometimes! I hope your next adventure with your brother's visit gives your spirit a lift! Still some lovely views...Thank you!!!
Each phase of your journey is interesting. The arriving, exploring, departing, the traversing... The "mundane" parts give balance to the exciting / thrilling / intriguing parts. A couple of those sky shots were amazing. Thanks again for taking us along. You guys are terrific hosts.
Thank you so much for such beautiful videos. We enjoy them so much. For some reason, I especially loved the short shot from close to the water as the sun was coming up and you could just see the swell and sky. So beautiful and peaceful!!
Well knowing that your boat is dry docked in Tonga now and your enjoying yourselves at camp--Jason not feeling well this episode isn't as worrisome. Glad everything turned out for you.
MTG Zombie actually you are wrong. You’re is a contraction for “you are.” SanSan was not trying to say, “... knowing you are boat...” Your is a possible pronoun. SanSan used it properly.
Love seeing the ups and downs. And who of us has not been swindled now and then. On pause from rv life right now while caring for my dad. Hoping for boat life in the future. You are keeping the dream alive, thanks.
Just love coming back to these older videos and experiencing these times with you two again. Can't wait for the new adventures like this (good and bad like the chain issue) on the new boat.
I'm with Greg below, Jason you have an amazing attitude about this whole swindled thing‼️‼️. If we all pitched in it should not be too much to get you guys a new chain. You two have given us so much in terms of vicarious adventures - if 100 of us chipped in, it would be peanuts to get you a chain, is there some way we can do that⁉️⁉️ Anyone, Anyone 😎😎😎
Nikki looking a little tired but that Michael Pollan book will open your eyes and blow your mind. Very factual account of misunderstood subject. Enjoy the reading/listening. Be safe
One of my all-time favorite channels what a great couple working together to fulfill their dreams and yes life does get tiresome at times but then you get a pick me up and go again just like me I did not get to watch you yesterday because we was on the move from Florida to Alabama always on the move hopefully you see you next week
Hey, Jason, you guys are not suckers, you were taken advantage of by thieves. It is a shame that people have to be dishonest for sordid gain. Thanks for the video.🇺🇸
I look forward to your vlogs all week. Thank you for sharing. I could watch the following sea all day. While crocheting and listening to a book. Be safe my friends.
I'll say it again, Ms. Nikki is one of my favorite chefs in the internet fleet. Micheal Pollen is for sure one of my favorite authors. Wynnsday one of my favorite days of the week.
Just got into audiobooks this year. Traveled to Florida several times this year (from kentucky) and Michigan (you said in a previous video you loved Michigan and man Michigan in the summer is unbelievable, I’ll be back for sure). Started to run out of podcasts to listen to and someone suggested audiobooks. I thought eh I’d never be able to focus enough and retain what I’m hearing. Boy I was wrong. Absolutely love it. It makes my 9-12 hour travels fly by. It is like watching a movie while driving. I totally get why podcasts and audiobooks are your go to for travel.
Oh, your "brother's doing a mule run with some boat parts"... Ok, that makes a lot of sense... and your mother came before. - You guys literally have the kind of family support where you can have a family member bring you whatever you need on this adventure. -- Very cool, and it makes so much more sense how you're able to make all this work. Definitely, if I had *that* kind of support, I'd be a lot more likely to take the risk of sailing abroad. - Your family is very cool!
I met a young lady that though she wanted to try sailing & passed on your sight to get a view of sailing. It was on Friday & hopefully she viewed this video this weekend of you two enjoying the piece & quiet of the ocean.
Muzyka od 12minuty:15 sekundy jest niesamowita. Jeśli macie jeszcze filmy, ujęcia oceanów i waszego życia na Łodzi dodajcie jeszcze takie odcinki. Jesteście kochani
Thanks for sharing with those that can not, love your journey and apart from my kids Dr Jason & his wife Dr E and my Daughter Nads and her man you two are the nicest young people on the water/land. Cheers
You have my sympathy Jason. I'm not feeling it either. Another 3rd shift in the boiler room. Looking forward to another tonight and again and again. Hope you have a better day tomorrow and when you get to Tahiti. 😐
While I am sure that working in a boiler room is hot and awful, I don't necessarily think you realize what life at sea can be like. For some perspective, I used to work on research vessels. I spent 6 months at a time away from home and my longest stretch at sea without touching/seeing land was 42 days. It can get really old. You can't just jump in your car and go somewhere or do something to blow off steam. Even something as simple as running to Taco Bell to fill a craving. And, boats take constant maintenance. There is really never a down day. I realize it sounds like he is whining, but I guarantee you they are only showing about 5% of the boring, monotonous, or hard parts of their travels.
No just keep on talking. Yours and Jason talk make lots of sense thanks a lot . I always wanted to cross Atlantic as a Captain on my own boat getting old and plus working on the other bucket list and its all going great.
For the moments of just hearing the sounds of the passage, that would be neat to have a 3 hour+ long video, with just the sound of ocean and several slowly changing camera angle views. It would be something to put on the speakers, and fall asleep too.
Love your videos! One tip to help cool down (you may already know this one) is to keep some body lotion in the fridge. I know you’ve had fridge issues, but even a small bottle that doesn’t take up too much room can be refreshing. I like something with just a hint on menthol. I especially like chilled lotion on my feet! ❄️
Keep on truckn on Jason...or in your case keep on sailing on, your videos are great to watch and I'm sure everyone appreciates (I do) the hard work you and Niki do too bring us along in your journey. Thank you.
You seemed a little burned out.... You could always get another CLASS "A"👍...... Keep up the great videos, enjoy them because you two have the ability to keep it real,,
Jason - I understand where you're at. Nighttime is the worst. I know if it wasn't for Nikki you'd have gone home a long time ago, but here you are, making excellent vlog's, living 24 with the 2nd most "with it" person on the internet. I see you working hard - you're a smart guy - and I hope you'll get your reward in the end. (Oh - and by the way - everyone knows there's only one quality product coming out of Panama - and it isn't chain.)
Good on you two for keeping it real, I could feel your emotions in this episode, it felt like you were in the middle of nowhere and feeling lonely, homesick.. this will obviously pass with time and a new sense of enthusiasm will again raise your mood! Bloody anchor chain, don’t you wish you could just drop it into the ocean to become a small reef! Nicki a good magnesium drink before bed can help with depletion from , over exertion, stress, dehydration..Diasporal is a very good brand that a nutritionist recommended..no affiliation on my part with this company, just found it helps me greatly! Travel safe⛵️🇦🇺
I’ll start by saying that you two come across as very genuine and positive people. I wanted to start by saying this in case that my next observation is taken the wrong way, and seen as me posing a case of you presenting staged emotions. When in fact it couldn’t be more to the contrary. I loved the thinking that you put into this passage editing. You served a great moody/somber soundtrack, garnished the footage with looping sounds of the ocean that started as romantic in nature but slowly slipped into almost a melancholic hypnotic trap, and finally used longer sequences of slow motion footage that felt like there was no light at the end of the dark tunnel. This made me feel what you both were experiencing; Nikki going into her introverted, self learning, trans state, and Jason slipping into an emotional/physical low. The footage was obviously inspired by your genuine feelings, but your clever editing delivered a 5 Michelin star emotional degustation. I love how positive you both are. However, somewhat surprisingly, this section did draw me into an emotional “being there with you” journey; and the reason that it turned out to be my preferred part of this vlog. Beautiful work! Ps. Tough break about the chain. Pun intended ;D
I don't know if you ever hear this kind of thing from your followers, but I really appreciate your videos. You have a way of capturing your nautical adventure in a way that others can really put themselves into. It's funny because way way back when I first stumbled upon your channel, I thought "it was a little nerdy" BUT, I kept coming back. And back,,, then I subscribed and now I'm hooked. I really like you both and mean no disrespect but Nikki, damn. I need to find a Nikki... enough said. I hope you guys don't get tired of this.. because I would probably just sit in front of the monitor staring at a blank screen with sad face lol...
I hope Jason is feeling better. He looked like he may have had some heat exhaustion. I know you all are from Texas, but he looked really pale and tired in the segment on eating the smoothie. If he doesn't feel better soon get to a doc at your next stop. Sail safe.
Hey guys! Concerned for Jason. As he’s enjoying his smoothie, he just looks so spent. Like he needs to get some rest and nourishment. Have you guys thought about taking a break from boat life and enjoying a vacation from it? You guys work so hard. Hope you’re getting the rest you need.
Enjoy catching up on your travels. Praying for your continued safety. Sad that you were ripped off, hope Karma will balance the scales. Hopefully you got all of the mechanics repaired before you head out to open seas. Will be waiting for your next post.
SO,good to hear your having a well ern't bit of R&R...hit of home & family...nothing like it...time to reflect...relax & recharge.... THEN prepare to having your socks blown off by the Absolute Best Experience of life.....AUSTRALIA....thats right....BEAUTIFUL ONE DAY PERFECT THE NEXT...Sailing around it...Driving across it...not ruined by over population or greed...not yet anyway & if you ever get to Adelaide pop in & say gidday.....till then keep up the Great Work....cheers
Hey Nikki, to cool off, make a warm or hot beverage. It helps bring your core to the OAT, whereas a cold drink will only sweat out and makes you feel hotter.
Thank you for sharing your life with us! I look forward to your videos every week! Gorgeous documentary for those of us who may never get to see these places in person!
Hey Nikki when it is in the 90's there remember back to summers in Texas. My last summer in Houston was 2011. It was as high as 114F during the day. The central AC had gone out on the roof of my Computer Repair Shop and I was so grateful at night about 11 pm when the indoor temp would drop to 94F which felt so cool.
Great video as always! I hope Jason cheers up. I know that he's always doing boat repairs and that has got to take it's toll mentally as well as physically, but his heart just doesn't seem to be in it this past year. Big ups to you dude! You have a wonderful life and a wonderful wife, a fabulous boat, and two great kitty cats. Be happy! I'm battling cancer, but I lose myself when I watch your wonderful life. Maybe one day I'll have a boat too. Wouldn't that be grand!!! You guys are good medicine!
Nikki try the B-52s, they're some neat music, I can recommend a lot of songs you'd like. The most funny thing I saw on your boat this week was Jason folding the flat screen down to reveal that Singa was hiding behind there in the tactical station, hilarious! :-)
Ahhh the day in the life of a 'Cruiser' gotta love all the projects. At least you kept you old-but-good chain Jason!! Hahaha what did you put in that smoothie Nikki to make Jason dance ? LOL! I agree, the sound when you are sailing and the engines are off is AMAZING !! Thank you both for this weeks adventure / relaxing sail. Always the highlight of the beginning of my week. Fair Wynns and Following Seas Curiosity!
great video. we are retired and sometimes we lose track of what day it is, but I can always reset my clock on Sunday when I get the notification that there is a new gwtw's video out there.
Bon voyage Wynn’s. You always share with us the joys and challenges of your adventures which makes your videos so enjoyable. You sic’em Jason! Happy sailing 😉👍⛵️

Oops, spell check, wrote the wrong allowed🙀🙀🙀 , oh well, 👍🤣🤣
Hear ya-look how far they've come.
Same here , they are what made me want to buy our RV lol.
Remember that episode with Jason changing the flat tire on the RV... hilarious scene.
But look at him now... Captain of his boat and the prince of Nikki’s heart. Sail on ⛵️
Same here i give him bk the man card i had to pull when he didn't know how to plug a tire! Lol

It is truly "our joy" to watch you two take on the world. "Your joy" translates in your videos.
Totally love the gentle sailing w/ spinnaker !! You can just feel the peace. Thank you.
I sincerely hope that you folks that get to travel and enjoy these "garden spots" realize just HOW LUCKY YOU ARE!
I've spent my entire life HARD AT WORK, and almost never could even leave my home state.

I do alot of long drives. Music lulls you, talk radio (pod casts etc) engage the mind, keep you awake and passes time faster.
Thanks again, Jason and Nikki. What a feeling of loss to leave behind such a special place. You captured that feeling perfectly. Well done, again!
I watch all your videos and share them often. I have no idea why you guys don’t have over a million subscribers. The quality of your videography and content is amazing.

I have never seen so many different outfits for a RTW sailor. Can’t imagine where you store them all! Quite a fashionista!

Love. The best part about Sunday morning coffee is the Wynns.
😮❤❤
Thank you for allowing me to tag along!!
.... Ahhh ! as the saga of the chain continues .... Bombies, they are sounding spectacular and devastating ... have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
Exhaustion I am familiar with, you have my empathy my friend, may you recover quickly .
I hope you guys don't get tired of this.. because I would probably just sit in front of the monitor staring at a blank screen with sad face lol...
they are awesome!
You with the sad face & blank monitor 😆😆. We're not going anywhere!
@@gonewiththewynns Love it... BTW... tell Jason he's pretty too... I don't want him mad at me :)
I hope Jason is feeling better. He looked like he may have had some heat exhaustion. I know you all are from Texas, but he looked really pale and tired in the segment on eating the smoothie. If he doesn't feel better soon get to a doc at your next stop. Sail safe.
I absolutely LUUVVV your yellow and white sail! I wish you could've kept it for your new boat.
Thx again for making my coffee break at work, so much nicer.
The water calms me. Glorious sunset, beautiful rainbow. Sucks about your chain....thanks for the ride.
You guy's are the greatest!!! I'm surprised you don't have a million subscribers lol.
No worries Jason. It does "Happen". The highs are not as high with out a few lows. Sail on!
Beautiful places and smiling faces from you both despite being exhausted. Sail on and blessings abound for both of you. ⛵️
Thank goodness it is Sunday, I needed a Wynn adventure fix!! Be safe both of you.
Sunday? Check. Coffee? Check. Wynns video? Check!
Of the few sailing channels I follow, FP seems to be the most beautiful place. Thanks for taking us along! Thumbed
Hey y'all...love your passages!! Very inspiring. I rolled with laughter seeing Jason do his dance. Your a hoot!!!
What a beautiful and peaceful goodbye to Fakarava and French Polynesia! Hope you enjoy your time back here in the States. 👍
Hey Nikki when it is in the 90's there remember back to summers in Texas.
My last summer in Houston was 2011. It was as high as 114F during the day.
The central AC had gone out on the roof of my Computer Repair Shop and I was so
grateful at night about 11 pm when the indoor temp would drop to 94F which felt so cool.
Time for a change by friends ❤️As always, safe travels and love the adventure! Thank you.
great video. we are retired and sometimes we lose track of what day it is, but I can always reset my clock on Sunday when I get the notification that there is a new gwtw's video out there.
Bon voyage Wynn’s. You always share with us the joys and challenges of your adventures which makes your videos so enjoyable. You sic’em Jason! Happy sailing 😉👍⛵️
Glad to see Nicki wearing a PFD. Now you have to get Jason on board. 😜
