As a young child (5-10 YO) i lived in one of the 3 villa's in westpark. Was next to giant fields where the farmer would cut and make hay bails, across from the the nursing home blocks and car park. There were 5-6 horse chestnut tree's outside my front gate leading into the center of the hospital. The child toys and baby walkers you see in the vid are from the day care for the nurses children. I remember everything about the hospital for the most part, canteen, mail room wards, laundry tennis courts, corridors, green houses. from time to time you would see patients wondering around some of which would make strange noises. Use to have a fair/fundraiser every year in summer - remember the social club and the pre-school there. Remember the blue buses that would take you into town and back and made the walk on more than one occasion.
Amazing to watch this as I live on the land where part of The Epsom Cluster Hospital was. Makes you think what the patients lives must have been like and what hell they must have been put through. Some of the buildings are still standing and been converted to housing.
Tristan Vickers LIVES? The souls of the lost can be heard in this video, crying out for retribution. Well done for spotting fault. Well done for video with telling music. I will come back here often. Dingly Dell!
There is a school called hope service there and also a mini doctor/hospital but I think it’s private and there is a tiny bit of building left but it is home to many drug dealers and homeless people
I was a patient there in the rehab clinic called Greenbanks in 2001 I visited the room with all the dark graffiti that's featured in this video apparently it was drawn with permission of staff by patients on the adolescent mental health unit in a disused ward as some sort of bizarre therapy. It is a pity you didn't show more as its really creepy and highly disturbing, a true glimpse into fractured young minds.

Used to live close to, and worked in (via BT) all these hospitals. Great historical video.

I practically live next door and the whole thing has near enough been demolished

Only the social club from this hospital still stands, everything else is now housing
