There's a UA-cam video of Peanut annoying Jeff for 10 minutes straight. That's a great one!!! You should also check out the ones where Jeff works Peanut and Jose Jalapeno (on a steek) at the SAME TIME!!! FANTASTIC!!! 👏👏👏👏
You would probably (hopefully) enjoy parts where Jeff does his thing with both Peanut and José Jalapeno at the same time. (It was the last "preview" at the end of this one.) He made a really great pairing with them. I mean, there was even a part where he had 4 puppets and he was also talking.
Peanut is rather savage. He is my wifes favorite. I tend to lean towards Walter, he is by far my favorite. My wife and I were blessed and was able to see Jeff preform live. It was an interesting situation. He came to us literally the day after he buried his father. There was a period that he broke down and we were able to see the real Jeff. He talked about his father and some of the wonderful stories he had with him. Then went back into the show. I think Peanut is his oldest character and started him in college.
Okay, look..... you guys HAVE to go back to his early stuff. He did a bit on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson that will shock and AMAZE you. I first saw that performance on a Young Comedian's special, but the Tonight Show is the easiest way to find it. It was his FIRST appearance there, and I swear, between Peanut, Jose, "Little Jeff", and the "worm in the bottle"... you will be utterly SHOCKED at this man's talent. I won't spoil anything... but if you want, I can find a link to it on UA-cam (yes, it IS up here)..... and give it to you. I kid you not, you will be in SHOCK at what Jeff can do! I've been a fan of his since the early 1990s, when he first came on my radar. The man is incredible!
Peanut is one of Jeff’s oldest characters. I remember seeing videos of Jeff at the Improv back in the 80s/90s with Peanut. Hilarious character, especially when he and Jeff argue.
Terry Fator won season two of America’s got Talent and Darci Lynn Farmer won season 12. They both sing a lot with their puppets. Terry even does impressions with his turtle puppet Winston! Good times!
The most amazing part is how Jeff alternates between the characters and his own voice. It’s even more amazing when he has three characters going, two on camera, one off camera, and himself. Truly amazing
If you can find one of Jeff's earliest performances, back when he doing the comedy circuits in the 90s, and his puppets consisted of just Peanut, José Jalapeño (Onna Steek), a Tequila worm, and a tiny puppet version of Jeff (Little Jeff) - you will die laughing,. Dunham was a comic genius right out of the gate. If you can find those old clips, you might even get the answer to why Peanut only has one shoe, lol. When Sam asked about that, I recall a vague mention of it back in the day, Jeff asks Peanut what happened to his other shoe., and well... Peanut. EDIT : I found this video of his 1991 "Lost Tape" which features the above characters : "LOST TAPE! What Do Peanut, José, Little Jeff, and a Worm in a Bottle Have in Common?" watch?v=HRhMBlVzlbs and : "Jeff Dunham's Older Performance" watch?v=ymljmol29_M It's not the exact performance specifically, but it's close.
Jeff is an extremely funny and insightful comedian. His characters get away with things that a human might not but should in today's climate. The characters are all insane but my favorite is Walter. He is the old 'get off my lawn, character and an old curmudgeon who has no filter, he's a scream.
That's one of the good ones. However, there are a lot more Peanut videos out there. They're all funny because Peanut has no filter and just lets loose. Yes, do Walter. He's the crabby old guy in every family.
If you want more interaction between Peanut and Jeff, check out "Peanut's Password Panic". It's modeled after the "Who's on First" skit by Abbott and Costello, and it's hysterical. 😂
The story of Peanut's one shoe is a repeated joke: "I see you lost a shoe." "No, I found one." The character with the accent is "José Jalapeño (on a stick).
I would truly suggest you take one of Jeff Dunham's entire specials, though bit by bit can be fun. But the characters have grown over the years from when Jeff first brought them out. But if you want a real fun bit, look at Jose Jalapeno's bad day. Jose only comes out with Peanut (though not every time) and the two play off each other and with Jeff, who never misses a beat.
Another ventriloquist, mentioned by another commenter, is Darci Lynne. She was also on America's Got Talent. She won that year's competition -- 2017. Her ventriloquism technique is even better than Dunham's.
You need to go back to his first appearance on Johnny Carson The Tonight Show. He was the first performer to be invited to sit on the couch with Johnny upon his first appearance. He will give you intro to Peanut.
The bit with the shoe is an old Vaudeville bit. That's where one guy says hey you lost a shoe and the other guy says no I found one. It does come up in his sketches with peanut. I love peanut and because he's the only soft character that Jeff has you can get a peanut doll. I'm 60 years old and I sleep with my peanut doll every night. Please do not judge me. I believe life should involve wednesday. I don't recall ever sleeping with stuffed animal or toy so I'm doing it now not to make up for something that was lost in my childhood but because I'm afraid of the dark. FYI Jeff builds all of his characters
You're so very beautiful, Samantha!!! Seeing your face always lifts my spirits!!! The two of you are such a great couple!!! Lots of love from America!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
You should probably watch a whole standup routine. That way you get introduced to all the characters. There’s another character called jalapeño on a stick, and he’s,, well, a jalapeño on a stick. It’s hilarious. Then of course there’s Walter, and I really like Bubba Ray, because he is very hillbilly ish, and I’m a hillbilly. On a sidenote, I’m also blind, and I found the story about taking the blind people to see David Copperfield. Absolutely hilarious!
David Copperfield is awesome. His best stuff is when he is just walking the streets of wherever and starts doing magic in front of the people he meets.
I enjoy your content I just subscribed I wish your channel all success here on UA-cam and in your lives with respect and kindness always talks with Chris
You absolutely have to check out Peanut when Jeff brings out Jose Jalapeño on a stick to interact with Peanut. Totally hilarious!
"You lost a shoe."

most likely his most famous character. With good reason. He's hilarious
The absolute best “Peanut” clip
Is when he does “The Night Before Christmas”-hysterical!
New subscriber here and I definitely have to second this one. As a matter of fact they need to do all the Christmas ones and meet Guitar guy.
Peanut is from a small Micronesian island . He's a woozle

Peanut is one of Jeff’s oldest characters. I remember seeing videos of Jeff at the Improv back in the 80s/90s with Peanut. Hilarious character, especially when he and Jeff argue.
Peanut is Jeff's original Character.

To learn more about peanut you would have to go way back in the early years of Jeff Dunham when he was working the comedy club scene.
"Walter" is my personal favorite...
Peanut is one of the first creations from Jeff
That's because he found that shoe, lol
I think Peanut and Walter were his first two puppets.

In earlier shows, you find out what Peanut is
Peanut is Jeff's first character.
If you want more interaction between Peanut and Jeff, check out "Peanut's Password Panic". It's modeled after the "Who's on First" skit by Abbott and Costello, and it's hysterical. 😂

You need to do Walter - Walter's wife is aging like Milk and definitely Bubba J
