Good afternoon Chris first of all happy birthday on Monday when it comes and now that you just another two days to go and then you will seventy years old but you are still doing concerts and going all over the world singing your songs to all of your fans that goes to see you sing them good luck and all the best on Monday anyway chris.ibhave been enjoying myself last Sunday and Wednesday nights because I can now get you on my t.v on youtube and I really enjoyed just printing in about thirty of your songs between the two nights and it's really amazing what you can now a days and not only that I can watch you on a bigger screen and not just a small screen like here on the computer or on a phone and I will try and play some music for your birthday on Monday night but if I can't I will play it on Tuesday night and if I get into see either on Wednesday afternoon or maybe next Saturday afternoon Chris and then I'll let you what some of the songs I would have played but one the two songs that I played last week first of all bring the boy back and when I see you tonight which of course I don't have those songs on album and here two of the songs that I do have an album and they are Africa and go where your heart is and let it be and from the home album waiting for the hurricane and from hands of man there goes my heart again and the last one that I played on Wednesday night was your wonderful song the falling rain and as I said that I will play some songs on Tuesday night some will be from flying colours as it is thirty year old....

Very mixed imagery, seems to be mostly unrelated to the song. Not like your media guys to make these type of mistakes.. maybe a quick rethink before release, Love the song and the story though.
I see where you're coming from with this song not necessarily being as complex or progressive as eg. Spanish Train or Crusader, but as long as he's keeping it fresh with thought provoking ideas and such interesting production, i have good reason to keep buying his albums. CdeB is not like most musicians his age or at this stage in their career (who would just settle for "bread and butter" performances of Lady in Red). There's a strong fire still burning here!
Yeah this song is highlighting the corruption and evil in the world, especially the Illuminati and New World Order issues. I think the music needs to be more heavy weight and shocking though, to reflect the ideas behind it.
Let's not be too harsh on the old fella. Though I know we'll never see a return to the glory days of the first seven albums, I at least give CDeB credit for trying to return even slightly to his progressive/art-rock style of old, and finally acknowledging that there are a lot of us out there who would prefer to hear that stuff than all the MOR drek!! Sure, he'll probably never record anything as adventurous as 'Spanish Train' 'Crusader' 'The Devil's Eye' 'Wall Of Silence' 'Eastern Wind' 'Light A Fire' or 'Transmission Ends' ever again, but the last four studio albums from 'The Storyman' onwards were better than ANYTHING he did in the preceding 20 years between 1985 and 2005, and parts of Moonfleet, such as 'Have A Care' were amazing. Elton John went up in a lot of people's estimations when he admitted that almost everything he released between 1978 and 2000 was shit: thus, if we could just get Chrissy to disown 'that song', which even He must be sick of by now, and most of the other sick-bag inducing material he churned out during that era (although I'd allow 'The Risen Lord' and 'The Last Time I Cried' as notable exceptions) then people might start taking him seriously as a rock artist again, like they did between 74-84. Sadly, though, I don't think he ever will- not least of all on the advice of his bank manager and stockbroker!!

This is an original really good song by Chris de Burgh from his new album ; but you're right, the riff sounds a little bit like JJ Cale's "Don't Go To The Strangers"... or exactly like the cover Eric Clapton plays live
Very mixed imagery, seems to be mostly unrelated to the song. Not like your media guys to make these type of mistakes.. maybe a quick rethink before release, Love the song and the story though.

I see where you're coming from with this song not necessarily being as complex or progressive as eg. Spanish Train or Crusader, but as long as he's keeping it fresh with thought provoking ideas and such interesting production, i have good reason to keep buying his albums. CdeB is not like most musicians his age or at this stage in their career (who would just settle for "bread and butter" performances of Lady in Red). There's a strong fire still burning here!

Yeah this song is highlighting the corruption and evil in the world, especially the Illuminati and New World Order issues. I think the music needs to be more heavy weight and shocking though, to reflect the ideas behind it.
Let's not be too harsh on the old fella. Though I know we'll never see a return to the glory days of the first seven albums, I at least give CDeB credit for trying to return even slightly to his progressive/art-rock style of old, and finally acknowledging that there are a lot of us out there who would prefer to hear that stuff than all the MOR drek!! Sure, he'll probably never record anything as adventurous as 'Spanish Train' 'Crusader' 'The Devil's Eye' 'Wall Of Silence' 'Eastern Wind' 'Light A Fire' or 'Transmission Ends' ever again, but the last four studio albums from 'The Storyman' onwards were better than ANYTHING he did in the preceding 20 years between 1985 and 2005, and parts of Moonfleet, such as 'Have A Care' were amazing. Elton John went up in a lot of people's estimations when he admitted that almost everything he released between 1978 and 2000 was shit: thus, if we could just get Chrissy to disown 'that song', which even He must be sick of by now, and most of the other sick-bag inducing material he churned out during that era (although I'd allow 'The Risen Lord' and 'The Last Time I Cried' as notable exceptions) then people might start taking him seriously as a rock artist again, like they did between 74-84. Sadly, though, I don't think he ever will- not least of all on the advice of his bank manager and stockbroker!!
