@@JamesAyne-hz1uy Sanders has one big nice house, one lake house and one rental property. He's been in Congress for 32 years and they get paid well. You can count on your hands how many people in congress aren't millionaires. But Sander didn't get his money the way most politicians do, by taking money from corporations and passing any laws those corporations want. Bernie has never taken any money from corporations to sell his vote. He made most of his money from his book sells. Also no one is ever forced to join a union. Sanders is only worth a little over one million, which makes him one of the poorest senators in congress.

Cios can still make more money than the average worker without becoming the able to work or suffer. Immensely comma there was a time when there was an almost fiduciary responsibility of the company to the employees of the company as well as to the community itself. Today, greed is way out of hand.

Must monitor ALL UNIONS. Anything incorporated can very easily be corrupted. Especially when delusions of grandeur start dictating salaries for the higher-ups of the union.
UNIONS should consider making their own companies if they are so good at business. I mean this sincerely. Do it… shut these companies out by having its best compete against the parent by potentially creating something uniquely of better quality. I bet if most employees gathered together they could make it happen. Lets face it, how many conversations have been held around a water cooler that could run things better? Some ideas were great. Not least to mention how many companies are honestly run by the grit of the many at the bottom which do so at painfully low wages. Go for it. Take life by the dang horns and as a united union show a business plan to replicate, enhance and improve overall service, goods, customer service and your ability to make a living by sharing the profits. Put that plan out their on the many sites where you could get crowd funding and make it happen.
You can’t beat these con artists at their own game. Starting a business in this economy is a futile endeavor.

Right to work policies are misleading and not worth the paper it's written on. Nothing on this Earth is perfect. We have to keep working on policies to make them as fair as possible. Negotiations are push and pull, and corporate standards are one-sided with the stock shareholders in mind. Unions are needed to ensure fairness to workers.

Mr. Cassidy is denying the coercion of big money owners of businesses who coerce and peddle in fear to keep workers in line, that is to say, not signing up to begin the unionization process in their job site. Amazon has stooped low to keep workers from signing up for unization. Starbucks has also utilized the fear mode to keep workers in line. Unions gave the workers in the past the ability to join the middle class and to have the ability to live with more certainty as they attained home loans, etc and helped their kids with getting a leg up to higher education. Unions are a good thing for workers.

Yesterday, I went to Safeway in this tiny town I live in, spent the $298 in food stamps I get, on 3 paper bags of groceries for the month. 3 bags. A few steaks, lunch meats, bread, cheese, milk, couple boxes of cereal, sugar, coffee, eggs, water (because the water where I live, you can't drink), couple snacks (bag of pretzels, peanuts) and dog food. A few other small things and you're at 339 dollars.
Let's not forget gas, insurance, housing, utilities, etc... to say I'm struggling is an understatement. I actually just bought a RV because we're losing the house.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is just that, supplemental. I know that it sucks to have to rely on these programs, I've had to rely on them in the past also. Meat is usually on sale on Monday at most stores. You can usually get can goods, pasta, beans, cereal, and rice from your local food pantries to help you get the nutrition your need.

I also receive the SNAP benefit and I realize that the dollar doesn't go as far as it did before Covid, however, I am thankful for what I do receive because I wouldn't be able to pay my bills otherwise...prices are stablizing or decreasing and for that I am thankful too...
