I love that Klas is absent from the stage during most of Ghost Trail and then comes back to break the entire building.
dude.. i am literally crying from joy everytime ghost trail starts.. the moment klas enters the stage kills me. so perfect.
I hope cult of luna keeps making music for the rest of their lives. Ones of my favorite bands ever.

Andreas Johansson is really in touch with his instrument.. Such an energetic way to play. I've watched this DVD countless times and will probably watch it a lot more...

Caught them opening for Katatonia in September at Peabody's in Cleveland, Ohio... I was front row and the Cult of Luna experience literally wore me out--absolute perfection!
... and when the last notes fade you just want it to start all over again.

By far the greatest band on the planet.. Eternal Kingdom suite (the record and the book) is by far my favorite concept-album of all time.

I seen Cult of Luna in Newcastle upon Tyne on this particular tour in 2008, it was awesome. Met them afterwards, great guys, very polite and friendly.

You definitely should. I saw them the 2nd of March in Finland and they were utterly amazing. That feeling you get at the end of "In Awe Of", the last climax after the vocals.. One of the best feelings I've ever had!
Seen them twice and if you ever get the chance to see them, just do. it's fucking hypnotic.

Incredible performance but i really wish to see them perform something of they old stuff. Songs like Sacrifice or Deliverance could be brutal and heavy as fuck in an live concert.

They use a lot of British gear, most of which are Orange Amplifiers and Cabinets (they're endorsed by Orange), but sometimes they mix & match with Marshall, Sunn and Traynor. Guitars tend to be a mix of Gretsch, Fender, Gibson and most recently they've been using Guitars by Electrical Guitar Company, which are solid Aluminium, during the Vertikal tour and were featured on Vertikal II during it's recording.

101TheShape Yes. Johannes talked about that in an interview, that when he first heard "Through Silver in Blood" it resonated with him greatly. So definitely the biggest influence on them.

Great music. Great performers. The vocals however have no dynamics or character. Just monotonous yelling.
