I use every cut. Straight two reed for morning tree calls and feeding woo woos . Then the bat wing to piss off the boss hen. The ghost cut for sweeter softer light bushes . And the V for days where they aren’t gobbling. Better to carry 18 mouth calls than 3 pot calls and a box

I have a tough time with this "most callers sound better than a hen" thing that so many people say. I understand what you're getting at- Maybe they sound better to the human ear, but the cadence and rhythm that hens have is hardly ever replicated even by the worlds best callers - and i find that the better someone calls, the more they respect the real hens.

it can be. you have to know where he’s roosting and set up where you can cut him off as he’s coming back to roost.

or you can run-n-gun, locate one that’s out feeding, set up on him and kill him
