I have three kids in baseball and during baseball season I am often late because I cook healthy from scratch pretty much daily, and my husband has type one diabetes (needs low carb) and also likes a clean house so I am always trying to feed everyone and clean up and make it to baseball by 530!! This year i decided i need to give this method a try and see if it will help. I also homeschool so have little time. Thank you for your recipes, I will be trying them in the next month or two!
A friend gave me a dozen freezer meals when I had my twin girls. It was the best gift ever. Now, I like them because I can have a homemade meal on the table with very little effort.
So glad to hear this Gabriela! Congrats on being a new mom, I've always been a fan of freezer meals, but loved them SO much more once baby was in the picture :).
I use Trello for my freezer meal inventory. It's fantastic. I can add the best before date, any additional notes, even the recipe, if I want. It's also free, which is perfect.
I love this idea! I actually use trello for work projects and house projects with my husband but never considered it for a freezer inventory... am definitely going to try this!
I’d love batching tips! Seeing the process is so helpful. I always combined the veggies with the sauce and protein when I cooked this recipe and the veggies were a bit overcooked in the crockpot. Makes sense to separate and put on top! 😛
Noted on the batching tips! Overcooked veggies is a downside to crockpot cooking :/... depending on the veggie/ my schedule that day I'll sometimes even add half way through cooking.
It just doesn't fit into one container! I wish they would, but this is the largest size of the glasslock container. I've used plastic baggies in the past, but prefer using glass to plastic...
This video is 2 yrs old but I want to suggest something. I put all ingredients together and then devide into the containers. Just because sometimes my husband isn't at home for dinner and I put just 1 or 2 containers in the cooker to avoid leftovers.
Why do you want freezer meals???

Is there a reason you don't put everything into the same container? Just so you can fit it in your containers, or is there something else? TIA
