“But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.” 1 Timothy 2:12-14 KJV
It’s actually a great opportunity to demonstrate the importance of rightly diving the Word. Without a clear understanding of the Spirit’s language, confusion and judgment ensues. In 1 Timothy 2, Paul is referring to those who are “natural.” Those are the people who shouldn’t be teaching in the church. Someone who’s trying to usurp authority is clearly natural and not spiritual. In Christ, there is no male or female. I am IN HIM.
It’s not that there are people out there wrongly dividing => because that’s the overwhelming majority of Christendom…… …..what’s really astonishing is that even the majority of believers who know they should study so they might handle God’s word accurately => still wrongly divide and bring themselves shame and sow chaos and confusion…. …..which makes universal salvation all the more compelling Since 30% of the world is considered Christendom => and we all believe and share the wrong things…..and each belief or denomination believes they are the lucky 3% who will go to heaven….it’s easy to understand that God didn’t rely on any of us doing it right…. So glad HE did everything necessary to reconcile us to God……
I recognize that it's possible to take this snippet out of context. If you're interested in watching the entire sermon, it's available here: ua-cam.com/video/id_zW_WfaR4/v-deo.html The Bible explains the Bible. Yet, the Bible is written in a spiritual language that one must break down to truly understand. Rightly dividing the written Word means recognizing this hidden language and also learning the historical context of the Bible. There's no Biblical support for the idea of universal salvation. I do agree that we have way too many denominations.
@@SolapeOsoba Actually, there’s tons of scriptural support for universal salvation => but I get the when 97% or higher => is in a denominational box that tells them otherwise => that they value that over God’s word => then sure, I get your answer. I’ll stick with God’s word over a snippet or a man’s full sermon.
