It’s a miracle the poor thing survived. Hopefully all pets will be rescued. Animal control will round them up as they find them. It’s important that those pets get rescued because that may be the only thing those people have left
Gosh this is utterly heartbreaking!! I’m literally crying, the young lady truly broke me when she spoke and said “no my dads coming home. I need my daddy, he can’t leave” gosh that hit me super hard as I just got married in august and didn’t have my father. The pain never ever goes away. You just learn how to cope with it better as time goes on. My heart goes out to each and everyone of these people impacted by this absolutely devastating tragedy weather they lost family, friends, pets, belongings, anything and everything. So awful!!

The only thing with hurricanes to me that’s even more frightening is the sheer fact that they can last like up to weeks long taking out everything in its path. Hurricanes you seem to have a little more prep to be able to try to relocate and such where this tornado and many others didn’t really give much, if any, warnings to allow people to even remotely try to evacuate!!

Better construction materials can create tornado resilient buildings.
The candle factory was steel. All those historic buildings laying in mountains of bricks were built hundred years ago and were sturdy. Nothing in this things direct path survived

I like major hurricanes more than tornadoes. Tornadoes are fascinating but I prefer hurricanes.
