There is a way to bypass soft limiter by, holding the gear lever in between reverse and park it will let you rev all the way, not sure if your supposed to do that though.
My polo gti is also running a stage 2 with a downpipe and stock backbox but I already replaced them twice because over time they start making a rattling noice.
I've got a VW Polo GTI, any chance you have a list of the mods you have on your car (even down to the paddle shifters) would love to do a build as sick as yours
Where you going for the backbox? That bug as well 🤣 thought was giant spider for a second. What road is this, peak district yeah? Soft limiter is to protect the gearbox I think.
Going to cobra sport, they’re just adding a back box to the pre-existing system! Haha it really caught me off guard 😂 yeah man, just out of glossop towards wood head pass :)
@@PassionForPetrol okay good to know. I have a friend with full cobra system sports cat back (although sports cat did naff all and still 3x over MOT limit). Just a straight pipe. He’s heading MRC end of September for stage 2 so will probably be needing the same in terms of backbox if he wants ti keep his hearing.
Bro i just bought a mk7 golf R with 60.000kms, i was a bit surprised with the steering wheel i think its a bit heavy, how would you say it feels? I drove a gti and a 1.5 tfsi and they all feel alot lighter on the steering, ik they’re fwd and the golf is AWD but im just wondering if my steering could be bad, its not as light in comfort as i thought it would be.
Really not sure mate, I'd imagine it would be heavier than other models, have you used a scan tool to see if there's any fault codes related to the steering?
@@PassionForPetrol no fault codes brother i guess im just used to lighter steering wheels, i might should check if steering fluids are changed as well lol
Do different launches. With launch control and traction control on sport and traction control off. Leave the car in sport auto and use launch control. Also what rpm does your gearbox change up
@PassionForPetrol on sport mode when does it change up? I have a 2019 polo gti, mines stock it changes up around 6200 rpm if I'm not mistaken. I change up manually around 6000 rpm feels like the car keeps that pulling momentum going. Where else if you leave it in sport it feels like at the top of the rev range it kinda runs out of steam
These polo gti for stock is pretty quick. I have raced many tuned cars and surprisingly have beat them. I have raced modified ford's like fiesta st and focus st(all shapes) and surprisingly beat them off the line and even rolling races. Golf 6 edition 35, golf 7 and 7.5 gti. Same situation. Modified polo tdi as well. Most of the petrol cars I have raced is around 180kw-200kw. When the guys asks what's in the polo they think I'm lying the car is standard 😂😂😂
They’re not bad at all! And even more impressive tuned, have the cars you’ve raced mainly been manual or auto? I remember watching top gear testing the polo against other hatches and it was beating them mainly because the shifts between gears were so quick with the DSG box
I’m your 1k subscriber, congrats! I’m thinking about buying a VW Polo GTI so just checking out a few vids
Thank you bro! Any questions just hit me up on insta :)
At 0:11, i thought he was going to say; "woke up this morning and chose violence" 😅
Love this 😂😂 keeping that on the cards for next time

Have tried that a couple times, doesn’t fill me with confidence though 😂
Awesome video man. Sounds nuts I can’t lie
Thank you bro!
Love the build so far man!! Sounds good but definitely needs a back box😂
Thank you dude! It’s going on tomorrow thank god so should sound a lot more refined 😂
Great Video,That Thang Songs Nice 👌 Damn 🧨
Thank you mate!
car its looking amazing from inside beast
Thank you very much :)

Oh as if, hopefully aftermarket will be better? If not I’ll just rip it all out haha
@@PassionForPetrolI think a aftermarket will for sure be better. I think the oem can’t handle the flow without the cat and OPF
Got the back box on now, I’ll see how it holds up 👍
@@PassionForPetrolNice! Curious how it’s holding up with your setup
All good so far but early days. If anything destroys itself I’ll be sure to make a video about it 😂

Yes mate, I’ve got a video covering it all :)

As if it didn’t do much! Glad I went decat then. Slight update, got the back box on, too quiet now 😂
@@PassionForPetrol 🤣 too quiet. Do you still get the overrun slaps?
The pops are still quite prominent tbf, more muffled some of the time, DSG farts are a LOT quieter, tone is nicer overall tho.
Nice. What is your exhaust setup? I want to get the same!!!!!!!
nwrm watched the video
😂😂😂 I’ve put a back box on it now and think it’s too quiet so probably gonna remove the centre res 👍

Hey. I have they GLI Autobahn 19’
We have the same display…
But when you shift from 3 to 4th, there is a little plus is that rev matching?
I believe it’s just the car suggesting that you should change up gear based on position of the throttle etc :)
what mods do you have done mate
I’ve done a mod list video, I’d you go to the description on it I’ve listed them all on there :)

I’m gonna do a draggy video so will defo do all those things! When does it change up driving normally or?

I think it’s around the same? Tbh I only ever drive in manual when I’m having fun, but I’ll give it a check and let you know.

It's a 4 pot Polo. i.e. it's a noisy pos, people don't want to hear it
