Full coverage of the men's quadruple sculls rowing heats from Eton Dorney as part of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Rowing has been staged at all the editions of the Olympic Games, except in 1896 in Athens. It was, however, on the programme, but a stormy sea compelled the organisers to cancel the events.
Women made their debut at the Games in 1976 in Montreal. They competed in a smaller programme. The Olympic Games in 1996 in Atlanta marked the introduction of the lightweight events.

At the start of heat 3 at 25:06, the commentator says "these men can weigh no more than 72.5 kilos". This is not a lightweight event. Most irrelevant commentary ive heard so far from this guy
Wow great rowing for the Russians! They had beautiful posture for the most part and I really noticed their continuous movement. There was not a moment wasted at the catch and this made it so satisfactory to watch! Wish my quad could stay in sync like that lol.
not only them, pretty much every rower ive seen so far in the olympics is damn ripped
Why do the Russians have those huge arms...
Rowing = legs
If you use arms, you get inbalance in the boat
