Worst take Chris has ever had. Also screaming at Rob for no reason. Sure Rob interrupts and tries to interject stuff, but no where near as much as Chris did. Chris, I love you, but this was truly bad
both are right...Chris Rock correlated the movie to Jada's look innocently but at the same time she looks like that because of her disease and got offended...the only person that was wrong was Will for using violence as a fix to how he/Jada felt.
I'm with rob on this one. And chris keeps talking about trauma for the african American women and their hair, which i imagine is very true and real. But what about chris rock and his trauma? Dude got smacked doing his job in front of millions of viewing eyes and you don't think that would be traumatizing for him? Will smith's actions were not justified in this situation, period. And i agree with Kareem's article as well
Exactly. Chris was caping. What happened had nothing to do with black women. It had everything to do with Will Smith not wearing the pants in his household.
Will Smith action was very Justified you're not part about culture don't try to minimize what black women have gone through that's the problem with y'all y'all always in black folks business
Joseph Castro I am a 70 year old black woman and I have never heard of black women having trauma about their hair. I know and have meant a lot of black women in my life time. I think Trauma is too strong of a word.
Chris Broussard changed the topic completely towards the end, Chris Rock's joke was not about hair texture, it was about a hair style that women of all colors can have in the military & all men as well.
You obviously don’t know any women in the military. Also hair style and texture are not independent of each other. Chris Broussard’s point was when a black woman cuts her hair like that it’s a big deal for them. Chris Rock of all people knows that because he made a film about it. You can disagree with what Will did as most do. But Broussard was not wrong in what he was saying either.
Dude, people aren't stupid and everyone knew what he meant by that joke. The fact that you need to try and explain it away says everything about you. Chris Rock made a joke and Will Smith didn't like it. Will Smith took the cowardly option and slapped Chris Rock. Dudes have been getting into it with other dudes since the start of time for making comments about someone's wife or girlfriend.-- even jokes.
There's also plenty of black women that choose to rock the bald look, and there's no way everyone can know if it's a style choice or a disorder. Making a joke comparing your look to a badass woman in the military is one of the lightest things you can say about a bald person. It's like a bald guy getting offended for being compared to the Rock or Jason Statham.
@Allen Mk13 Yes but what Broussard was saying is that when Black women choose to wear their hair that low it’s already a sensitive thing for them. I think it’s a sensitive thing for any women honestly but I know for a fact that it’s sensitive and real decision for Black women. Chris Rock knows that too he made a film about black women and hair. Rob Parker was acting like that isn’t a thing which is weird. Also the joke is not about the character being badass. The joke is about the character being bald. The character could’ve been the president in a movie or a crack head that point is really irrelevant and idk why people keep saying it. But I do believe Jada being upset is a combination of the joke and who it came from not just the joke. So there’s that.
Rob is 100% accurate. He made reference to a movie, they were at the Oscars so its all correlated. If he flat out said “You bald head woman.” That would be considered an insult.
Exactly, nobody would even remember the joke had Will just sat there and kept his mouth shut. Now, people are making thousands of memes about it and will remember it for who knows how long. This is why they should have just talked to Chris off to the side during the break and maybe he would have apologized and then they could just move on.
EXACTLY!!! No one would have remembered the corny joke 10 secs from when it was said, especially since Will did actually win a few minutes later. He will NEVER live this down. SMH
Chris must have had some of the good stuff. Articles of journalist running to interview women with alopecia everywhere....uh mm, "what is your take the joke". Every women, man and child has made a joke about some chicken head, roosters head, nappy head, slick back, coock-a- bug head, from when you were a child in elementary school. The dozens, joaning and you momma jokes are told from 8 to 80 years. You have 10 times more people, born with jacked up hair as opposed the hair condition Jada claims she has. She was on the internet a couple weeks a saying l don't care if people talk about my bald head. And laughing about it. I think she's lying anyway. I saw every folical in her and nothing other the scar from her face lift. Plastic surgeons have said that after reviewing a video. Chris needs to drink less coffee and go watch Levell Crawford stand up set, talking about the situation.
I can't believe I"m saying this ...Rob was actually for once making nothing but great points lol...also if Rock didn't realize she has a hair condition that also changes how u can look at the joke and his folks are saying he didn't so hey
Wait a second!! I’m so tired of that “defending her honor”. Why didn’t Jada stop Will from going on that stage? She could’ve said “Will sit your butt down. That guy is nothing. Don’t do a stupid move.” There’s a difference between defending your woman and taking care of your woman.
Chris thinks because he's yelling and dominating the conversation, that he's right. What he said was a whole lot of nothing to do with what actually happened. This was in no way an attack of any kind against black women. Chris sounds like he too needs to wear a cape. Rob has every right to make his point without being interrupted as well.

Millions of young people watched the incident and Will Smith could of defended his wife’s honour more maturely. The whole dinner table example is dumb because it’s not the same as being at the Oscars. Will was not protecting his wife. Protecting sometimes doesn’t involve being physical. You can leave. Remove yourself from the situation as a way of protection. Chris talking about hair texture is weak. Jada said days before the Oscars that she doesn’t care what people say about her hair. My wife is black, and she could care less about what society says about her hair. She wears it the way either I like it, or she likes it. Stop with the excuses Chris.

The paparazzi are going to call him a cuckold, mock him and his wife, and hound him and his family for the next year. To fish for a golden ticket punch.
Suspending him from the academy leaves an impression that there is no penalty. No one cares about actors being a part of an association. We all witnessed Will get away with assaulting Chris on international TV. Millions of people witnessed this. That being the case do you think that a suspension from the academy leaves everyone with feeling justice was done??? The only thing that rises to the level of the crime is taking his trophy away. IMHO it's a trophy he should never have received after he smacked Chris. Therefore you're taking something away from him that doesn't belong to him.

Chris is talking about defending his wife at dinner,in comparison to a comedian at work, and the audience member becomes violent smh
100% agree with Rob. Chris was annoying on this topic. Rob shut it down 🔥
Chris Broussard changed the topic completely towards the end, Chris Rock's joke was not about hair texture, it was about a hair style that women of all colors can have in the military & all men as well.
Facts Chris Broussard tryin to spin it like dreidels
