That still doesn't take away from the main point of the take. And that was Broussard saying that people should have the right to say what they want and how they felt without being fired. Obviously, if that's what he truly felt, he should've been defending Sterling for being able to express his thoughts. He did not defend Sterling, because what Sterling said went against his personal morals. Which proved Rob's point that depending on what's said, a company will fire an employee. That is me viewing different situations from a different lens which all of us do. Kap's statement was not political and he had no intention of that being. The people that made it political were the White Racist Republicans who knew they had to change the conversation. Nah, both are right and wrong. The real crux of this issue is who decides what is right. Is it the people in powers right, to decide what’s good and bad. Because in full principle, no one should be fired for there personal views of things But they are. From my point of view, Donald sterling being forced to sell was correct because he said very racist things and Colin capernick should not have been blackballed because he was peacefully protesting. But other people believe that Colin disrespected the flag and someone who does that should not have a job. The reason why he was ultimately blackballed was because the people in power view was that he should be. This debate isn’t black and white. It’s very nuanced. I felt like I said something and nothing at the same time but I hope you understand my point

Del Rio on the other hand just said something stupid and the players don't seem to mind. There is no reason to fire him, hell even suspending him would be foolish and a waste of time. I usually agree w/ Chris more... but Rob is right about his Donald Sterling point. First of all both Chris & Rob were right in what they were saying. It was just the opposite side of the same coin.
Everything Chris said with Colin Kapernick was right, in everyone having the right to a different opinion in a work space. The Colin example was showing negativity when a company (the NFL) doesn't do so.
Rob was right using Donald Sterling... with his logic of, "if someone does/says something that the company they work for doesn't agree with, the company has the right to fire them." Sterling made a statement (one behind closed doors but brought to public light) that the NBA didn't agree with and forced his "firing".

Colin went higher than just making a statement. His peaceful protests, while I totally do agree with him, was a risk. Everyone figured he’d lose his job. It’s one thing to speak something in a press conference. It’s another to go every Sunday on national television and REALLY make a statement. Colin risked his career for real. I’m sure if Colin was just another Jaylyn brown, Lebron etc he would be in the league and doing fine. It’s ok to speak your mind. But at some point some care more about social issues and their platform more than their career and that’s ok. But the niners do have every right to fire him. I’m a black man who does not live in the US , and this is crazy to me. I find what happened on January 6 reprehensible and everyone involved should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. However, I don’t see an issue with what Del Rio said. He should not have used the term ‘dust up’ because it minimizes what happened on that day , but I can excuse the usage of the term because he was speaking extemporaneously and he later apologized for it. Basing the entire case for condemnation of the man and justification for the NAACP demanding that he be fired and the 100,000 fine by the team on a single misspoken term is a little disingenuous The peaceful BLM protests were justified, but we all know they were not all peaceful. Several people died (including police officers), billions in damage was caused to businesses, police stations were damages and one was burned. The crux of his point was that the condemnation of the harm, deaths, damage caused during those protest has been inadequate in the few instances in which they were condemned and nonexistent in most cases. Any endorsement ( even a tacit one) of such damage, looting and death is wrong. The man was fined $100,000 for his opinion because everyone’s afraid of being cancelled by the far left machine. Is that what the US have come to? Is the country made better by forcing half the population who may think differently than you do to keep their opinions to themselves ? Do you think that means that they no longer hold those opinions? In all likelihood, those opinions are strengthened because of the communist style silencing of them and you’ve lost the opportunity to change hearts and minds through honest debate. This is part of the reason Trump was elected. Anyone who even suggested that they may agree with a policy suggestion of Trump was branded a racist. Consequently, when asked for their views on Trump , most people either didn’t answer or lied. Every poll had him losing in a landslide. On Election Day these people made their voices heard. Over the centuries the country has been made better by differences and the ability discuss them. This communist style attempt to get everyone to see things in the same way is not good for the country.

Jack Del Rio should have acknowledged that more than 150 law enforcement officers suffered injuries during the Jan. 6 attack. Those violent criminals on Jan 6, 2021 beat the living hell out of the police. I don't understand how anyone who claims to love and respect the police isn't deeply disturbed and sickened by the physical and verbal abuse experienced by the officers as they tried to protect the Capitol on Jan. 6. If anyone deserves an apology from Del Rio it is the cops who were fighting for their lives during the Jan 6 attack.

My issue is that "dust up" is to minimize what happened because he understands why they did it, people seem to understand why those people were so upset but they don't understand the response to 400 plus years of continuous trauma? And I also think he should be fired, opinions don't come without consequences, you can be politically correct and jobless, that's your choice, your beliefs don't have to change but the environment you use them can change!
