Both phones are solid. But honestly having the Oneplus phone might be better because the hardware is newer.
Netflix is a bloatware. People only use the app if they have a subscription. Meanwhile Pixels dont come with Netflix app preinstalled but they do support HDR, so idk what Carl is on about.

It's possible netflix is forcing this with most brands except google, apple. Netflix knows it's pointless to forces google or apple. They're much bigger companies who has leverage over Netflix and not the other way around.

It's not even close. The 12R is better in EVERY category. I just literally returned my Nothing Phone 2 yesterday and ordered the OnePlus 12R today. I'm saving about a $200 on the 12R, compared to the Nothing Phone 2, and I'm getting a much better experience with far more customization and features. Not only that, but I did not like NothingOS at all. It's very bare bones, and lacks a LOT of customization options.
Oh, and by the way, for what it is worth, You get ZERO trade in value with a Nothing Phone. Neither, Samsung, Apple nor OnePlus offer any trade in value for Nothing Phones. I'm not trying to pick on Nothing as I do like their approach and Carl Pei, but as of this moment there is no good reason to select it over OnePlus.

This was a really good comparison. I understand the appeal behind the nothing phone but it falls short when it comes to the competition.
I have visited the OnePlus store. And I have used almost 6 OnePlus smartphones from OnePlus 7 till now and I must say that OnePlus camera just doesn't justify it's price.
Nothing is way superior and so accurate with skintones and video quality.
The experience of UI and camera on OnePlus is boring as f##k.
But Indian youtubers and some dumb people just doesn't digest anything new.

if budget is an issue then go ahead and buy a higher variant of Phone (2) but if you can spend more then go with 12r! I would prefer the 256GB variant of 12r as 128GB is very less!
@@anandraj.p0406 if no problem of budget then go for OnePlus 12r but 256GB variant since 128GB is not enough these days! If you want better storage space like 12/512GB or 12/256GB for close to 35k go for Phone (2)

I have not used np2 so I can't tell about that but nothing phones has good custom rom support which now OnePlus lacks like OnePlus 11 got some custom roms but 11r didn't and op12 will also get custom rom support confirmed by some rom dev but there is no confirmation regarding 12r
Almost everything is better on oneplus 12R but for me camera is the important thing when other things are close. So I'm not a game freak, so 8+ gen 1 enough. Everything else is managable, but camera is better on nothing and oneplus has the same quality as that of a moto phone.

Having used OnePlus, its all rosy and good in the beginning however the moment it gets its 1st os update, it all goes downhill especially it's battery. It's not a reliable brand at all. You choosing OnePlus OS over nothing OS is just apalling. I agree with camera however as a brand, nothing is ages ahead as its much more customer focused and for tech enthusiasts. The review feels like a branded content. 👎
Avoid nothing its actually what it's name suggests....better make brand value first priority if ur are into long term usage...
@@arkobiswas7102 have you even used nothing phone? I'm using nothing 2 and I've had zero issues in Android 13 and even 14. It's just the opposite in OnePlus. A brand value has nothing to do with good user experience. This is a very basic thing that phone manufacturer should take care of but OnePlus is just too focused on just increasing their portfolio and that's a big thumbs down.

Nothing phone 2 is better than 12 r because it has pro features like wireless charging but OnePlus has just processor 8gen 2 and the cheap display and design same as realme 20k phone where as nothing has flexible it is bent display just like iPhone which looks premium and i love nothing os better than one ui just like pixel
In real life usage the colours and video quality while watching videos is far better on nothing phone 2 than 12r
Edit : i have used OnePlus 3 and 8 pro and been using Oxygen os for more than 7 years but the oneplus os sucks now , nothing has far better OS experience.
