i love the metal gear solid series but i wanna try something new. plus this game is gonna be about raiden, not about snake. people have to understand that. raiden is this katana wielding limb cutting bad ass dude and i think this style of gameplay really suits him. cant wait for this game
Let me ask you this, did Raiden EVER sneak around in MGS4? Because I recall him being that exact Ninja Gaiden Ultra Hack 'n' Slash badass that you're talking about even in the other games.
You'd think a Metal Gear fan who's played all four games and completed Snake's epic journey would be happy to know that their not trying to bring him back to continue the story, instead their giving us fans a fresh new MG experience. Bitch all you want....If Hideo Kojima is behind it, then I'll buy it and love it like his other titles.
The only reason we're pissed off is because they scrapped the original plan, handed it over to another company, and now they're making it a semi-canonical sequel to MGS4 with a skewed and made up story line.
your a ninja who can dodge attacks, deflect bullets and is by far way stronger then your enemys, which makes the need for sleath completely nulled (unless theres a trophy for it for trophy hunters), the metal gear series was always about sleath, avoiding confrontations when ever you could because you would be out maned by the number of enemys, it helped break the stupid run in and kill everything then move on games, i like fresh things but not when it makes the game into something it´s not, it´s

Good that they took the old rising concept and combined it. Now you can truely ninja around. With a bit of stealth, action, and badassery caused by "cutting all you will".
i never said i wanted snake back, i know he can´t come back because of his aging (and anyway after saving the world 5 times over he needs his retirement) and i wouldn´t mind raiden as a main character, hell i liked playing as him in number to, but for you to say it´s a fresh new "MG" experience is just wrong, it basically hack and slash with a bit of sleath with a level up system (seen by raiden getting blue power points off of the people) and that bit of sleath is preety much gone because
a tactical espionage action game and it doesn´t have to go all over the top with this action, it´s just like resident evil series, i don´t mind having a bit of action (like the hand to hand combat in Reo raccoon city because i hated the fact that if your gun was out your character had no sense of hand to hand combat in him/her and the camera over the shoulder was a good touch) but what they are doing here is just bad, they are just trying to copy other games thus losing it´s sense of self, so

they are making metal gear solid 5, rising isnt 5 its a different game completely and its not made up, its the fresh story of raiden
