    I really liked the video I saw on how to create a terrarium, I have a question,
    Where does moss come from, in what area and what species is it?

      Thank you so much! I believe it’s Orthotrichum affine and Hypnum cupressiforme, I found it here in Limburg, The Netherlands 😊

      The fittonia can grow indeed but you can also trim them very well😊

    I have never setup a terrarium but would like to, what is the reason for the mesh in between the rock and sphagnum moss?

    • @Lois.aquadesign
      @Lois.aquadesign  Місяць тому +1

      Ahh this is your sign to make one🤩 the mesh is to prevent the soil for going down in between the drainage layer, if you overwater your terrarium on accident and don’t have a drainage layer you could get mold in your soil, so this way you prevent that from happening☺️

    Mam How can we create the substrate at home???
    While moving this terranium (like packing nd gifting) will the soil nd plants get messed up???

    • @Lois.aquadesign
      @Lois.aquadesign  Місяць тому

      For the substrate you can use the pressed coco substrate like the instructions say on the package and add like 5-10% sphagnum moss to it😊 if you want to move your terrarium you can also glue the hardscape together with superglue and cotton, as shown in my other video creating an aquascape. With shipping I’ve got no experience but I’ve seen videos of people packing them all up, maybe you can take a look at that as well🤗

    How come it's low budget ? Plants you purchased themselves have high cost

      If you buy the mini versions they’re not expensive at all, especially when you buy them at a local plant nursery. They often also have a discount when you get 2 or 3 mini plants😊 you can even make it more low budget by buying the jar at a thrift store and take some soil out of your garden or nature🤗
