I have to say the camera is definitely improved (low light is impressively better than iPhone), but the samsung fabbed chips are consistently terrible. They have to throttle it by default to keep if from burning you. lol. Hopefully they release a TSMC version at some point. Snapdragon 870 is still king of efficiency on the Qualcomm side and what a surprise it's a TSMC chip. Speakers were a pleasant surprise. Very good detail and volume. The equalizer they applied is working wonders.
@@Enforcer901 not actually, because Xiaomi has better custom rom support and because of that on pixel experience rom it's performing even better than iqoo 7. Gt Neo 2 just not what expected, considering good cooling system than f3. It actually heats almost same as f3 on stock ROM.

Cameras improved a lot and sometimes it beats ones on mi 11 ultra in some aspects that's a big indicator that mi 12 next to cooperation with leica will change vision of photography and videography in smartphone market.
I don’t believe big changes can be made with a Leica logo… That’s all Chinese manufacturers do, .Vivo with Zeiss Huawei with Leica, and even Oneplus with Hasselblad, I think none of them were hugely improved.

Xiaomi use premium hardware camera in their flagship phones in terms of sensors or lenses which are so crucial in photography but they still have a lack of software and bad optimization. Vivo with x70 pro+ improved a lot and to me this phone in photography video stabilization is one of the best flagships i ever seen last year especially cooperation with zeiss helped them a lot. From the whole "BBK" only vivo with their flagship phone was neck to neck with biggest leaderships companies in the world the rest oppo and one+ are a head away from competition of premium smartphones camera. Toe after huawei if xiaomi can use algorithms such as google pixel in camera app they can be the best android company in terms of camera departmant.

I'm absolutely interested in this phone. I'm in the states though so it's probably a no go. The only high end Chinese manufacturer option we have here seems to be OnePlus, which kinda sucks. On another note, seems like Xiaomi knew the 8 Gen 1 was a furnace and decided to heavily throttle it. The new Motorola phone took a different approach and let it run at steady clock speeds, but the outside of the phone got to 140° fahrenheit, which is absolutely insane. The new Dimensity chip looks sick, but again, I'm in the states lol, probably won't have the option for one of those.
at this point, high end chip is no longer a deciding factor considering the improvement is only a single digit (1%-9%) improvement from last generation. anything after snapdragon 865/870 above have heating issue that brand have to throttle performance for reasonable temperature which put them similar to old flagship chip if you use it for demanding workload or gaming.
Man, the global version of the xiaomi 12 pro run perfectly for everything, game at max settings too, I don't know why youtubers tests the China version, there is no point, go watch some global version test, you'll see

Haven’t really followed charging speed in the last couple of years, but that 120w charging is crazy, jump in the shower, and when you get out the phone is in 90% or more, that’s cool
I have no issues with that. It's not really recommended to play Genshin Impact on mobile unless the phone has a built in cooler inside and cpu thermal paste is somehow liquid metal. Yeah there are gaming phones with attachable coolers, and even Nubia with built in cooler, but it still won't cut it in terms of playing Genshin. For now, my opinion is that Genshin Impact is still meant to be played on PC, no matter how high end your device is,. As long as thermals are within the safe range without compromising performance, that's the time games like Genshin or higher can be really enjoyed on a mobile device. As long as you play high intensive games like Genshin, your mobile will always be at risk at battery degredation, and worst, motherboard damage in the long run.
Agree. If I was to play Genshin I'd play it on PC. Phones will get there one day. Maybe RoG / Nubia / Black Shark might pull something out of their sleeves for this generation.
